  1. Hey Bill, How are you? I agree Dr. Feller definitely made my case less obvious, and that he was working with scar tissue. As far as my scar. My scar from my first Ht is about an inch above the one that I'm showing, and believe it or not, it is flawless which is ironic because my receipant area from my first ht was horrible. Maybe, I should have had my first surgeon cut my donor, and Dr. Feller plant the grafts. Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda. Bill, Dr. Feller and I discussed further options, and he basically said that the scar would only stretch more. And, that with Fue limited results and my expectations I may be let down again. So, my intent is not to blame anyone or discredit Feller's work. I was looking for some feedback , and after getting it, I can't believe how much of my time is consumed thinking about this.
  2. I was just looking for some feedback. I'm still not totally happy. Were my goals unrealistic?
  3. "Try not be too dishearten though at these early results - it was not too long ago "John Malloy" was very negative towards his repair results with Dr Feller and posted how he was convinced it was unsuccessful on more than one occasion - Time aloud him to see that the results once given time do meet expectations." Spex, I've been quiet lately because to be quite "frank" I'm not sure what I feel about my ht with Dr. Feller. While my hair looks absoulutely wonderful in pics, unfortunately that is not the situation in person. This is why I do not post any pics. They are very misleading. So, to be clear( I know my posts in the past may have been ambigious, but I think my post are a correlation of my result--some times it looks natural, sometimes it screams Ht) One, Dr Feller's work was a huge improvement from my first surgery, but it did not meet my expectations. Maybe, my expectations were too high, but I just wanted my Ht to be totally undectable at ALL times. And, that is not the case. I'm not blameing this on Feller, but his "easy fix" did not achieve this goal. Two, I have no ill will towards Dr Feller. He did improve my situation drastically. I can pull off the Ht in the right light with the right styling. This was not an option before Dr. Feller's repair. On the other hand, I can understand 1982's point of being "let down" with the results. I feel the doc may "overpromise" as in my situation, an "easy fix" to me meant my Ht would be undetectable in all situations. Especially, the way he bashed my first Ht, I just expected a little more of a result for my money. Anyway, my intent of this post is not to start another tit for tat, but to be clear----------AS GREAT AS MY RESULT LOOKS IN PICTURES, IT DOES NOT LOOK THAT GREAT IN PERSON. My intent is that you do not use me for promotional purposes. I may use the Doc for a small FUe session in the future, but Please be clear. The doc's work has made my Ht alot less noticable, but not undectable. And that is what I interpreted from an "easy fix"
  4. Cure, Right now a 4 clip shows the scar pretty easily. That is why I'm thinking of a tat.
  5. Bill, Thank you for your response. Bill, have you seen any decent results with tattooing a strip scar?
  6. Hi everyone, I'm a little confused. After reading this post, it appears that one can have a ht and then buzz their hair with a natural look.(besides the scar) But, just the other day johnboy titled a post " at what density can one sport a buzz cut". The responses basically say it's near impossible. So can someone clarify this for me. I'm asking because while my ht is not bad at all, thank you dr. Feller. It is still not what I expected, and I'm seriously considering tattooing the scar, and supporting a buzz cut.
  7. Hey guys, I've asked this question before in different threads, and while some responded, I don't think anyone who actually had a strip scar tattooed did respond. So, does anyone have any experience with tattooing the strip scar? I'm not concerned with the scalp just the scar. I can't understand how in my situation tattooing my scar could hurt. I understand that if I shave my head bald that the tat will still be there. But, my goal is to buzz my head down to like a 1 or 2 clip because I'm not crazy about my transplanted hair line. Now, because my scar is in the "safe zone", Won't I always have my hair there. Keep in mind my hair is really dark. So, my thinking is a tinted scar will be much less noticible than a red scar. Is my logic flawed? Please respond. I'm looking in to doing this real soon.
  8. Thomas, How are the results? I'm thinking of doing this in the near future, but I definitely wanted to see how things worked out for you or anyone else for that matter.
  9. Thomas 61, I am seriously considering a tat on my scar. Could you please update your status?
  10. How are any and all of these complications any different than a Ht?
  11. I've had 2 Ht's. In my first Ht, I had the staples removed after 7 days. In my second, I had them removed after 14. Now, my second Ht was a better Ht in the receipant area by far. But, even though my first Ht was performed by a less skillful doc, my scar ( the one where I only waited 7 days) is undetectable as oppossed to my second that is not so great. Weird Huh?
  12. Forrest, I think that I gave the wrong impression in my post that I was happy; however, I waited a few days to respond because my primary objective was a question regarding tattoos. Anyway, to be clear; I'm not totally happy with my Ht.If I had a choice to have my receding hairline back as oppossed to my HT head of hair, I would take it in a New York second. But, In all fairness to Dr. Feller-- My hair does look a lot less noticible than from my first Ht. I can go to dinner without a hat which is nice, but the sun still reveals the truth that I had a Ht. I'm also bummed about my scar which is a lot more noticible than from my first Ht. But, I'm under the understanding that I'm not finished growing yet. So, who knows? maybe, in a few months I'll be totally satisfied. So, to be clear; While Feller made a horrible transplant less obvious, it still does not look totally natural AT THIS POINT. Now, being in the situation I was in Do I regret going to Dr Feller? Definitely not. But, If I had a choice between Feller's result to date and my original head of hair pre Ht number 1, I would have kept my old head of hair. I hope I cleared that up without offending anyone. Anyway, my concern now is camaflaouging this scar. So, any info to help out would be appreciated. That was the original intent of this post.
  13. Hi everyone, It's been a while since I've last posted. I'm trying to be patient as I've been told numerous times by this forum. I'm 11 months post op from my surgery with Dr. Feller and I have definitely noticed some growth in the recipient area. While my expectations my have been high, my recipient area is a big improvement from my first surgery. However, I've improved my recipient area at the expense of my donor. Thus, the following questions. Will my scar look any better in the near future than it does at 11 months? I have it shaved to a 4 clip and there is a big smilely face in the back of my head. What are the pro's and cons of coloring the scar with a tattoo?
  14. Hey ttp, I feel for you bro. I'm going through the same sh... Do people look at your head and know something is going on up there? Or,Are you just unhappy because you were expecting a better result? I'm asking because I've had a bad Ht, and can't stand the funny looks I receive. I would much rather prefer my old receding look to my new artificial look. What are your thoughts?
  15. Hey Slaps, I've tried to pm, but have not heard anything. I did not know that you had an issue with your scar. I'm not happy with my scar from my second procedure either. Have things become any easier for you? I sincerely hope so.
  16. I'm not so sure that I would forget the lawsuit at this point. The waiver only holds up if the contract was not signed under duress, etc. I honestly feel the fact that someone is fed a valium, before they sign the waiver coupled with the fact that this so called patient will also forfiet his deposit if he or she backs out, only after seeing this waiver satisfies any legal threshold to have the waiver held null and void in most states. Also, a defendant can't tell you to wait for results to expire the statute of limitations. The statute starts from when you realize the tort. Don't just back away from this. Hold him accountable. I would, however, let go of the anger, and start to consult with other docs. I would not make my repair contingent upon a favorable outcome with Armani. Also, to avoid this situation in the future. Keep in mind that Hanson and Wong are the only clinic recommened by this Coalition to have a money back guarantee for results. While some may argue that this does not make H&W a better choice than the others. I really feel it "keeps them attentive" during procedures. It takes away their "out" of saying that "there are no guarantees". Good luck, in your pursuit of happiness and justice. I'll be praying for you.
  17. Thana, I mean when someone looks at your hairline, and it's obvious that something is going on. That in my eyes is a complete failure? Do you agree?
  18. Would'nt any HT that does not look completely natural be a failure? I don't think any doc ever said to his prospective patient that this may or may not look natural. I think they usually say there are no guarentees of growth, but it will never look unnatural( which I feel is a complete lie). Anyway, why would anyone get a transplant expecting an artifical look?
  19. awesome hair line. I think it's guys like you that make my expectations so high. I had a very similiar balding pattern to you.
  20. hairshare, Congrats, that is an amazing result. H&W are miracle workers. Has anyone ever had a complaint with their work? I have not come across one unhappy camper with H&W since I've been following this site. That is pretty amazing!
  21. Honestly, I would strongly recommend against a Ht, I've had 2. My first in June of 08, and my second in March of 09. I was not even that bald like a Nw 2 maybe 3. My life has never been the same since I had a HT. Your taking a big gamble. While I would have loved to look like I had a full head of hair when I underwent my first Ht, I would kill to just feel normal when meeting people, or stop being known as the hat guy.
  22. Julius, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I know what you meant, but I don't know the specific amount transplanted per cm2. That is why I asked Spex if he knew. I did have 2,000 F.U's in the transplant area. You can see the post op pics on pg 1 of this thread. Maybe you can tell from the pics. Thana, Your point about other areas of my scalp being noticable is true. I would not have noticed that if you did not point it out. Thanks! My only issue is that you can't see my first scar that was done by a so called butcher. Without saying anything derogatory about Feller, it just scares me when I'm told to wait for a better result in my receipant area when my donor looks way worse than the guy who did my first Ht and that turned out to be a total failure.
