  1. Jostronic, did you cut some of the grafts for the 13 and the 14 thousand graft people? Were they transplanted in the same form of that when they were extracted?
  2. Great results and very clear pictures. His hairline is very natural. With regard to taking pictures and presenting them, without a doubt H&W comes first;)
  3. Hi I've got two questions that I've been asked by someone who wants to start taking Propeica. 1. Do you recommend one do blood analysis or hormone analysis before starting so one knows how much the DHT declines...etc. I've read somewhere on this forum that it's a good idea to do such a thing? 2. Is it OK for people who has undergone a a gastric sleeve operation 4 months ago to take the pill? Thanks!
  4. A friend of mind has a similar hair loss pattern. He had consultations with four top doctors in the world and they told him that he should go for an FUT. My advice is be on finasteride and consider adding Minoxidile and use them for at least a year. After this, reassess your situation.
  5. I agree that the Norwood scale is sometimes misleading and vague. But I think that Norwood 1 to 2.5 on this scale can be categorized according to the measurements of their forehead, in relation to their facial features.
  6. Stay away from Dr. Ziering, whose clinic is on the Sunset Strip. I had a consultation with him last summer and he kept taking about celebrities but this did not impress me and his patient adviser was pushing me so hard to go for a surgery and he tried every thing to undermine other surgeons such as Dr. Feller, H&W and Dr. Rahal. Really sorry that your strips were not that successful and wish all all the luck with your future surgery. I don't know if you could please tell us with whom you had your strips.
  7. Great results! I always advise people to be on propecia for at least 18 months before considering any surgical work. Jo, how many grafts do you think this patient has spared due to propecia? I'd say 2,500 grafts.
  8. James84, you remind me of myself. The more I research, the more I get hesitated. Last year, I was far more determined to get a hair transplant than now.

  10. I meant that they spared (not wasted) thousands of grafts. If you want I can look up a recent thread about a patient who spared around 4000 grafts after being on a 1/4 Propecia pill.
  11. I strongly, strongly recommend being on medication for a year at least before having a hair transplant. Search the forum and you will find that there are people who have spared thousands of grafts due to medications. You may be one of them. Just take your time and exhaust all available non-surgical options.
  12. I think it is not strictly a right or wrong decision as I believe that it depends on many factors. For me (I have not had any surgery), I think that I will not be as concerned when I'm 60 as I'm now 29 about hair loss. I think that being too worried about what one's hair will look like in 20 and 30 years is not really that realistic though that I see where those people are coming from and I don't think that they are wrong. But I think that people pick on those who are in their 20s, 30s and early 40s when they suffer from hair loss as many in these stages tend to have good hair whereas people become more tolerant with those who suffer from hair loss in their 50s and 60s as it is not that common to see someone with head full of hair. Moreover, I'm 100% that there will be other good options in 20 years from now. But I strongly recommend being on medication as this is vital if you go for such a large session. I hope you understand what I mean.
  13. When I read about the two failed procedures [cringe] and that his donor area has depleted and that 2600 somthing grafts would be transplanted, I did not expect much. But WOW... absolutely breathtaking!
  14. If you are on Propecia and no more significant loss is expected, I would go for the 3,500. Your hairline or front zone is what people look at! I hate being conservative in this vital area.
  15. I've been on the drug for about a year and have experienced some shedding phases that were long to the extent that I thought that the drug stopped working. My advice is stick to the drug and monitor this shedding and see what will happen over the next couple of months. I don't think that the drug causes hair loss, so you don't have anything to lose. Good luck!
  16. Very nice! Is he applying any styling gel in the after-picture, Joe? His hair characteristics seem different.
  17. I think that it may be arguable that Dr. Hasson is the best in the world. But I don't have a doubt that no clinic in the world beats them in how identical before and after photos are in terms of angle, light...etc. They are so honest and shows you things as they are. Joe, how much is left in the bank?
  18. I put it in the freezer for 1 minute if the can is warm. I strongly recommend using plastic gloves when you apply the foam. I noticed that hair does not stick to the glove and gets pulled out as it does with bare hands since using gloves makes the process more smooth.
  19. I think that they are too good to be true! If they are 100% real (no concealer or Photoshop), then you are one of the best, if not the best, FUE surgeon in the world!
  20. Nice work by Dr. Arocha! Dr. Arocha always impresses me! I don't know why clinics tend to not post videos! I think that they want us to see what they want us to see. I think that videos are far more reliable and genuine. Would you please answer me, Kira?
  21. I hope that my posts are not considered to hold any sort of attack on his work. I'm just sick and tired of some clinics who think that we are blind and ignorant. We know that a hair transplant does not give a head full of hair. So, they better post real post-op pictures without changing any thing that makes their work looks better. In this particular case, even after changing the lightning and angle, it is still not impressive! With all due respect!
  22. Sorry! But I expected far much more from this 5000 grafts. I think this applies to the other two case you've just posted. It reminds me of Minoxidil and Propecia 'moderate' results. Not impressed at all!
