  1. Hey matt, congrats on the transplant. I was wondering since I'm also at the 2 month mark and I see lots of static hairs on my frontal area which most of them are not growing in length, although a few are. My question is based on your previous transplant, when do these hairs start to grow? and when do they make a cosmetic difference? I'm using rogaine, finasteride and taking hair vitamins. Right now my assumption is that by the 4'th month I should see a decent cosmetic difference but its really difficult right now to think that in two months there will be such a huge change seeing as now there is barely any difference.
  2. You had amazing results, hope I can have something similar. I know I have to have patience but in general what do you think of my post-op density ?
  3. any other opinions on the density post-op and at 14/16 days?
  4. 3000 (written in the title) , I think it does look like clean work, especially post op I think I recovered really well and even went back to work 12 days and nobody could tell I had something done. It helps that I have a tanned skin tone, so the redness was barely noticeable unless your looking for it. I'm just worried that pre-shedding phase, it doesn't seem as dense as it should be however I remember there were lots of hairs stuck to the scabs and crusts when removing them so hopefully a significant amount shed there.
  5. Hi all, I'm a 25 year old who has been balding since 16 years of age (Found a thread of mine with pictures from 6 years ago when I started rogaine lol. I started on minoxidil and finasteride at 19 and finally decided to have a hair transplant around 2 months ago. I would like your opinion on my current status right now especially the pictures at 2 weeks post op since I feel like it doesn't seem as dense as it should bewhen comparing to other people at that point. I believe I also started shedding pretty early starting from 10 days post op. I will update with a current picture in 3 days when I reach the 2 month mark, however I do have some baby hairs sprouting , some which are getting taller and some which are stuck and staying at the same length. It's been a really long two months lol, I guess you can tell with the amount of pictures I have taken. 10 DAYS 16 DAYS 14 DAYS (sorry the 16 days photo above wasnt in order) 16 DAYS ( Again, sunlight) 1 MONTH
  6. Hi redlord, thanks for sharing the 3 month update, I can't really tell if there is some improvement in the hair because of the different lighting, but it does seem to be thicker in the 3rd month. I had a transplant 2 months ago and I'm seeing a few hairs sprout up, since you are saying you have fine hair growing, when did you start noticing the growth ? and at 3 month are they long hairs or still just new baby hairs sprouting up?
  7. I'm no expert, however I agree it could have been denser BUT there is still a huge improvement from the before pictures. I guess if it's bothering you that much then you will need another HT but at least you won't need much grafts to fix the density issue.
  8. Thanks for your reply Shera. Regarding the number of grafts, I only say 3000 grafts as I think that would provide me enough frontal coverage based on the results I've seen on people with similar hairloss patterns as I have. I'm actually hoping the finasteride and avodart are what keeps my hair stable for the nearby future (at least 10 more years) and I know its not so wise to depend on upcoming treatments but I do really think that in at 10-15 more years we should have something better than what we have now. I do understand that I would likely need a second transplant down the road but I really do think that 3k grafts would do me really well in the meantime but what I am afraid of is shockloss and I do hope that my frontal hair is thick and healthy as you said and can resist it after doing a transplant. I'm almost 25 and I plan on doing the transplant in a year when I'm almost 26. Yes, my hair is affecting me socially and destroys my confidence when I have a bad hair day and I feel like another person when I'm having a good day. Also the amount of time and the system which I painstakingly have to go through in order to have hair which is at least good enough to go out with is killing me. In the end, it doesnt even look good and looks frizzy and bad texture on the front. I also would have considered Dr.Bhatti for a transplant, however, I live in Egypt and Turkey is right next door thanks again for your feedback!
  9. I'm 24, been losing hair since I was 19 and been on medication for over 5 years. My hair loss has been mostly stable with some seasonal shedding and then I noticed my hairline going back a bit the past 2 years and have since added avodart every 3 days in addition to finasteride and so far so good. Am I a candidate for a transplant seeing as I am a diffuse thinner however my hairloss is stabilized due to medication. I was thinking of 3000 grafts FUE to the frontal area only but I'm afraid of shockloss. I also want to enjoy the rest of my 20's and not care about hairloss until the future which I'm positive that there will be a treatment which at least prevents further hairloss better than finasteride. Thoughts? I also attached two pictures which show how I style my hair when I go out with a bit of concealer on the frontal third only
  10. Hello all, I'm a 24 year old male and was losing hair since I was 18, I started on the big 3 around 6 years ago where I had huge results and my hair improved dramatically ( I'm a diffuse thinner) however as time went by things stabilized and I started losing ground and lost a good amount of density overall after 4 years of treatment (probably has to do with me not sticking to the regimen 100 %) and with a bit experimentation with proscar and avodart I think I have been able to improve my hair a bit from 2 years ago and am currently maintaining. I've decided I want to do a hair transplant, however, money is an issue for me. I live in Egypt (very close to Turkey) and decided Turkey would be the most cost-efficient place to do that. Ideally I would choose Dr. Koray Erdogan, however, he is too expensive for me and so after some research I have seen that Dr.Demirsoy has some really good results and a really good cost. The problem is there are not many cases on the popular hairloss forums and that scares me. The ones which I did see, I liked. There is also a german forum which has a section for his results which I liked also. So, is Dr. Demirsoy a risky option to take? What are the other good/ chepear than Erdogan doctors in Turkey? Is Dr.Ekrem Civas a decent option? I have attached several photos of my hairloss, there are photos which show how I style my hair where I put a bit of concealer on the frontal third and others with nothing. Based on my budget, I think 3000 grafts on the frontal third only with a slight lowering of the hairline and more hair in the temples would be a perfect result for me. What are your thoughts? Thank you
  11. What about Dr.Civas and Dr.Demirsoy, are they good options? I also cannot afford Dr. Koray
  12. any updates? I'm considered Dr. Demirsoy and Dr. Civas for a HT but I'm still not sure sure whether I should just pay more and take the safe choice with Koray Erdogan
  13. My results were rogaine and nizoral, you check them out on the first page of this forum.
  14. 3 months update, started finasteride every other day 16 days ago First collage, front view before and a set of afters Second collage, Left temple before and after and left profile, right temple before and after and right profile, vertex before and after third collage All vertex after, wet hair before and wet hair after.
  15. Hi there, I have started taking proscar for my hair loss, ive been cutting it into smaller pieces and so far this is what i took, 1.2~1.6 mg piece and then waited 3 days then another ~1.3 mg piece. ***** Gross descriptions *** sorry My problem is, My stomach has been feeling weird lately and sometimes feel pain in the lower stomach which i usually feel when I ate something which doesnt go well with my stomach. Now in the bathroom, Its somewhat harder to take a cra* ( not by much) and the cra* itself is kinda small, not your average thick and long feces. Now I realize I have been on it for 6 days and haven't experienced any other side effects. Is the stomach issue something I should be really worried about? or is it possible that my stomach is just getting used to the drug and hopefully in a week or so it will be able to digest it properly? Anyone with similar experiences?
  16. It's written in the title, 1 months and 3 weeks. Surely 4 months of shedding is excessive? Usually I read that results can be seen at 4 months. I sure hope that there are hair follicles which are currently growing inside the scalp which will be visible in 2 months time.
  17. Some info about myself, 19 years of age, diffuse thinning over the last 2 years, applied rogaine the front and back, till now I can see some results in my hairline, however I really wanted some growth in the front but I guess its too early since I just stopped shedding (shed lasted 3 weeks) 4 days ago. Are these velus hairs on my hairline, is it possible for them to grow terminal? too early for frontal and vertex results as I didnt put any pictures up because I cant really notice a difference. EDIT: First picture is after result of right side, 2nd is before of right side, 3rd is before of left, 4th if after of left EDIT 2: can this thread be moved the drug section , sorry
