  1. Isn't that the patients choice to choose between FUT and FUE ? To me it seems like doctors there chose to do FUE to make more money.
  2. Why are all Turkish Doctors abandoning the strip procedure ? I've seen the best hairlines grafted in Turkey, but then to make more money the Turkish doctors switched to the FUE. With FUE the result give thin hair. I contacted a Turkish doctor whose site actually says FUT is better. I asked him for it, and the rep say the doctor doesn't do strip. Then they raise their rate from 2 Euros to 2.5 and expect me to take propecia for 6 months.
  3. For the # of grafts, its seems like the aim was to get the whole head covered instead of restricting HT to the frontal and mid zone. This most likely avoided the aspect of dense packing toward the procedure. For a 5 month mark I would say that is a successful surgery. My family is suggesting me to get the whole head covered as well. However, I prefer to start from the front and work my way back.
  4. 2500 from FUE will not make a significant difference in a case like yours. I would rather go for 2500 FUT.
  5. If you compare FUT vs FUE then in FUE you pay a higher price and you get thinner hair. For example to get a frontal coverage it would need 4000 grafts with FUE to get it covered. However, the same level of coverage can be done with 2500 grafts from FUT. Once the frontal zone is covered then you can look at alternatives such as scalp tatoo to make hair appear thicker, plus beard + body hair to cover the mid and crown area etc..
  6. To be honest in Canada, US dollars are accepted in most places. At this time the US dollar is stronger so people will accept your US Dollars. In the end you will only loose about $5-$10 from $500 The rate right now is $1 US = $1.027 Then when you exchange you may only get $1US-= $1.015CAN at max. Refer to XE - The World's Favorite Currency and Foreign Exchange Site I haven't found one currency vendor which traded at the exact market price. All of them at least commission by a cent. I remember 10 years ago $1 US dollar was $1.45. Most stores still accepted US dollars and gave it a value of $1.40. That's when it was worth it to convert. However, now its not worth it. Just give ask the stores will you accept US dollar. Most of them will say yes and take it.
  7. I agree the lighting is horrible in the after pic. As for body hair I would reserve that for the crown area. The Beard hair should be placed in the mid scalp and the crown area. With these type of surgeries there is finally hope to restore a full head of hair. The only problem now is the pricing. 9000 grafts = $45,000. I hope this restoration robotics system can bring the prices for FUE down.
  8. Yes, we need to see more before and afters. On the website there is only one HT after which I liked.
  9. Looks good so far. However, until the 8-12 months pass I don't think anyone can decide. Does this doc have a website ? Also how much does she charge per graft ?
  10. How many grafts per centimeter were implanted ? The average they recommend is 45cm grafts per cm.
  11. The problem with the drugs is they don't work in the frontal zone. They just work the crown area. Also, my native hairs are very thin. I can't even gel them. So is there a point to maintain them? At the moment would prefer a bald zone over a thin zone, since the transplanted hair is thicker in comparison. Then after 5-10 years I would go for a second procedure to replace the native hair which have expired. HT are cheap in India, so 2 procedures would be affordable. Anyway, I like the new hair line design. It really inspires me to get a HT in India.
  12. Can you post a pic of your scar. I want to know how Dr Madhu's scars come out. Are they pencil thin ? On the contrary, the results are good so far. I myself am considering Dr Mahdu, but I couldn't get a vacation for the last week of December. Therefore, I will consider a HT next year.
