  1. Bill: I edited my original post and hit "go advanced" but that only changes the title of that partiular post. There's no way to edit the whole thread title?
  2. Hi everyone, I posted my 6 month photos in my weblog (link below in my sig). It's getting harder and harder to see if any new hairs are coming through and it's getting hard to see major changes. I'm a little disappointed in the left temple yield. There are gaps that look like will not fill in. I did cut my hair to 1/4" again for the sake of comparison. I will probably let it grow now and update the blog in 2 months time. Let me know what you think. hair_me_out PS: Bill, how do I edit the title of the thread?
  3. Hey guys, I did take photos on the 18th as I do religiously every month, I just haven't had time to post them. Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow after work. Garageland: I did cut it again to 1/4" but this is the last time -- gonna let it grow now. HMO
  4. Fingers: I had maybe a few minor pimples in the recipient area but nothing over the top or any cause for concern. aw33: Thanks. Are you considering a HT? If so, I'd really recommend H&W. They do great work and are very professional. hair_me_out
  5. Hey jmg, fellow Hasson patient. I wear a hat and plan to do so for about 3 more months -- so the scar isn't a big deal for me. I've been cutting it to this length in order for the comparison photos to show clearly. I thought at this length it'd be easier to track the progress since you can see how individual hairs are growing. I plan to grow it out in a couple months from now. BTW, you and I had extremely similar patterns and treatment w/ Dr Hasson. I've been following your progress and it has been inspiring. Your hair is looking great -- hope mine looks like that in a few months. hair_me_out
  6. Hi all, Just a note to let you know that I've updated my photo blog with images from the month 5 mark. Have a look and let me know if you have any comments. Link is in my sig. Regards, hair_me_out
  7. You're making good progress, Fingers. Glad you've found some hair sprouting through.
  8. Finhairloss: I see you are keeping up your tradition of linking to only the most non-partisan and objective sources. Cato, Michelle Malkin, Redstate.com. LOL
  9. Some of mine came in whispy and some didn't. I can't say why...
  10. Looks great. As others have said, it's taken years of the apperance. I've be very happy w/ this.
  11. Looking really nice, Scottish. Huge improvement from where you started. You never know, you may see more thickening.
  12. I think this looks good for 5.5 and about what you should expect. With continued thickening to the 12 month mark, I think you'll be happy w/ the fullness then. Rahal does great work and I think this is another example of that. hmo
  13. FinHairLoss: You are seriously going to argue death panels now? Wow. This has been shown again and again to be bogus. Yeah, death panels aka Advance Care Planning Consultation -- requiring Medicare to pay for some end-of-life planning counseling sessions with a health care practitioner. http://www.factcheck.org/2009/...-obama-death-panels/ Come on, man.
  14. FinHairLoss: You've mentioned "private charity" a number of times. But given that before passage of the healthcare reform 10's of millions of people were uninsured and thousands of people died every year Unnecessarily -- can't we conclude that private charity helps but is not a sufficient solution to the problem? A few years ago the World Health Organization listed the U.S. healthcare system as #40 in the world. We were behind such powerhouses as Morocco and the United Arab Emerites. We had a very serious healthcare problem in this country and I'd like to ask you and Dr. Feller what your solution would be. Oh, and who did the WHO rank as #1 healthcare system in the world? France. Yes, a country with socialized medicine -- something not even close to what we just passed. Go figure. hair_me_out
  15. Dr. Feller, it might be time to lay off the Fox News. Along w/ the new regulation of the health insurance companies comes 30 million new customers (the mandate). And if they can't pay, those of us who are well off, will pay for them in the form of taxes. Enough with the doomsday thetoric. We've heard enough of it from the teabaggers already.
  16. Why wait for the shedding period to post pics? If bold statements like "invisible scar" are going to be used then its probably best to post as many photos as possible. We'd all love to see them. Take care and happy healing.
  17. Just wanted to respond to labrat69's comments on the blog, here too. The scar area looks "indented" -- this is probably due to hat hair and the fact that my shave job in the back was very poor. Do I ever think that the scar will be less visible and an option at this hair length? I really don't know -- I guess we'll see in 8 more months time. 1/4" may be pushing it now but we'll see how it comes out in the end. Phil: I'm not sure which tech was Jody and whether she worked on me or not. What I do know is that no single tech did all or most of the work on one side. They seemed to come in a couple different shifts. Let's hope things even out and this isn't an issue in the coming months -- it is early yet.
  18. Looks really good, Phil. You mentioned in the other thread that it's not coming in even but it's hard to see that in these photos. To me it looks even. How's your scar coming?
  19. Hi everyone, Just a note to let you know that I just updated my blog with 4 month photos. Give it a look and let me know what you think. Take care, hair_me_out
  20. So far so good, Fingers. Seems to be about where you should be. The good news is that you are RIGHT around the corner from the first growth and that's a very exciting time. Grab some popcorn and watch the show! Enjoy.
  21. Hi Tremblant: As Jotronic mentioned, I've been cutting my hair to 1/4 inch for my photo updates. I wear a cap to work so it being this short isn't an issue. Just took photos for my month 4 update (which I'll post later today or tomorrow) and the scar is less visible than month 3 -- so things are going in the right direction. I'm really happy w/ the HT and can't thank Dr. Hasson and staff enough for their great work. As for how high up the scar is, Dr. Hasson explained to me during the HT the technical reason for doing this but I can't remember exactly what he said. Perhaps Jotronic can have Dr. Hasson pass this information on through the forums. I trust that he made the right decision. Take care, hair_me_out
