  1. Wow, he looked pretty good pre-op and now his hairline looks even more amazing. Overkill? Maybe, but it looks damn nice. Great job Doc!
  2. You nailed it, Plunge! Thanks. It's a great thread and well worth checking out.
  3. Wait, no, it was Thana (how do you say his hame? Thanopsis Awry or something similar?) who did the thread, not Spex. Anyone have any clues?
  4. Can anyone point me to the styling thread (discussing mud and paste for the hair) that was posted a number of months ago (by I think Spex)? I'm having trouble finding it and the search has been no help. Thanks.
  5. I think this HT is looking really good on top. My only concern is the donor scar, but it sounds like you've talked to the Dr about that. Once that is sorted out and dealt with in the correct way, you'll be golden. Hair seems to be coming in great!
  6. As far as how fine my hair is... on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being fine and 10 being coarse) I'd say it's about a 6 or 7. As of right now, I'd agree with you -- I especially feel like the left temple density is a little disappointing. I'm going to give it until 12 months though to make a final judgement on that.
  7. Yes, the front forelock is much more dense than it was before the surgery. I know this because this was really the only part of my hair that I could style pre-op so I got to know it well. So I can say that's improved a lot. What I couldn't tell you is about the density in the back of the frontal 1/3rd. I never really scrutinized this area before and it's hard to see. hair_me_out
  8. Hey everyone, I just added 5 more photos showing the hairline and scar (by pulling my hair back to reveal them). Hopefully this will be helpful for people to better judge. Click on the link in my sig to see. As you can see, the right side of the hairline is fuller than the left. I think this is due to a small scar that I got early in life. You can make it out on the left side. That's my theory, at least. As far as the scars, I think they may have stretched a bit but it's hard to say for sure. Let me know what you think. Fingers: Yes, people have complimented it, which is great! hair_me_out
  9. I've been tracking the brothers Gemini for a number of months now so I was glad to see the latest updates. It's really looking great, guys! Comparing the photos from where you started, you've go to be pleased. Keep those acting gigs coming!
  10. Just ask for it from your general family doctor. I asked mine and he didn't even look at my hair, immediately wrote an Rx for it. He even wrote it for Proscar so I could save cash! Yay.
  11. Hi Megatron, Yeah, I know it's hard to tell since I"ve grown my hair out. But I was sick of keeping it at around 1/4" to 1/2" -- I know this kinda of throws off the "apples to apples" comparison but I wanted to see now what I could do with my hair grown out as intended. I am happy with the results so far, yes. Hairline was not lowered, no. Temples and frontal 1/3 were filled in. See my blog photos for placement of graft photos. HMO
  12. Incredible work! This one is a dramatic transformation to say the least. Well done, doc.
  13. Worst part for me was the incisions made to get the donor strip. Not so much the pain since you're all numbed up but the noise (I should have worn headphones!) and the thought of what was happening (I should have thought of my puppy!).
  14. Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I updated my Hair Blog with my 9 month mark photos. Give them a look and tell me what you think -- link is in my sig. I trimmed my sides to about 3/4" a week or so ago so in these photos it's approaching 1" or so. I have not cut the top since my last update 3 months ago. My hair will look a little matted down since I had been wearing a cap for a few hours before these photos were taken. I took the cap off and immediately took the photos -- there is no styling to the hair besides me running my hands through it a few times. Regards, hair_me_out
  15. Hi all, I have a question. I get my Proscar pills and use a pill cutter to divy them up. The new generic ones I've been getting are very hard to cut up into 4 pieces. Is it ok if I instead cut them in half and just take the 2.5mg of Fin every day rather than the 1.25mg? Cost is not an issue for me since my insurance pays for most of these. Look forward to hearing any replies. HMO
  16. Whoops. Just re-read it and I did indeed miss the point of the question. Apologies.
  17. Not as low of a hairline? This looks perfectly natural to me and the hairline didn't need to go lower.
  18. I feel like it's above average to exceptional -- but then again so is most of Rahal's work.
  19. Phil, seems to be coming in rather well. How are you feeling about it? Just saw your proscar comparison photos for the first time. Amazing what it's done!
  20. The photos were not taken into a mirror, so yeah that's my right side. And the left side is coming in slower than the right. Hdude: Proscar seems to be working, I guess. It's really hard to tell. Bill: Can you change the thread title to "UPDATED: Photos -- 3800 grafts w/ Dr. Hasson"
  21. It's looking really good to me! Great progress so far.
