  1. Hariri> who are you referring to as your own butcher .you list of docs seem all very reputable??
  2. cloudy and going 2013; im at the 6 week mark and nothing really to report other than shedding . ill upload a few pics over the weeknd though
  3. Im 4 weeks out of fue surgery . Iv been here before but still paranoid. My scalp has alot ofwhat i presume to be dried /flaky skin which just needs picked. Its comes out in quite a lump . My concern is am i damaging the grafts by doing so. My brain is telling me at 4 weeks the grafts are locked in but can t help thinking i am damiging some how . There are hairs in the dried skin ,no blood etc . Is this normal and am i just being paranoid? Its so hard when so much dried skin which comes of in massive lumps when picked.flaked off
  4. magpie ; I think dr hakan has produced enough results to prove his merit . I think that be pretty safe bet as far as they can go . that being said and I think general consenus is that dr demirsoy is also excellent . I know cost is a big factor and of course it would be . my advice would be is there is a few of us now on this forum who are posting results by demirsoy. in 4 or 5 months you should be able to get a good idea of how our outcomes are looking and be able to base a decision better if you can wait that long . it will fly in and you have waited this long a little longer wont hurt. in meant time keep researching . its great you have found this forum and not rushed in :-)
  5. dr reddy seems to be doing great work also .worth considering
  6. magpie . being a demirsoy patient myself I can certainly recommend him based on my experience . I am yet to show results as only after 3 weeks post op . I seen demirsoys results on diff forums and they were outstanding . if im correct hakan was charging 1 euro at one stage so do not let this put you off in terms of thinking because cheaper you will receive less of a result I suspect the reason hakans rate went up was because he joined forum like this were there is a sponsorship fee to pay . 1 euro a graft wouldn't be able to sustain paying fees to forum like this. this is the reson dr demirsoy clinic have not applied and I suspect if they did there rate would also go up. keep researching but with the choice you have narrowed down too you will do well whatever. you seem a high norwood check out fahos result on here
  7. kokosam and Nathaniel . thanks for encouragement guys shn ; are you considering staying in the states? khali; my hair was pretty good to begin with butwanted the frontal region thickened up . I think they call it hair greed. there was no beard or body hair used as have good donor supply
  8. to be honest when doc claimed he got as good results with motorised I didn't enquire about manual . I should also point out that I will consider the ht to be a bargain if the results match my expectations ;-)
  9. im only glad to answer questions ; I opted for motorised simply as doctor feels he can achieve as good results with this method as manual . this was good enough for me . the total price for surgery worked out at 2000 euro . a bargain I reckon for 2265 grafts I booked through intermediary health travel who arranged all tranfers and accommodation for 280 euro . you could organise yourself and get cheaper but for me I wanted hassle free my flights were expensive 450.00 but this was because I was in high season and had to get connecting flight. this was coming from uk. If coming direct from London etc expect to pay a good bit cheaper the doc does all of the extractions and hole placements and the two techs did the placement .
  10. update day 14 so all my scabs came of around day 11. I found removing the scabs very therapeutic the pain I was having in my donor area has all gone .this went around day nine or ten . just have an occasional itch in that area. shall update with photos at one month mark
  11. bkw .sounds like you had similar story to me . I hope this needle pain stops in few days like you .thanks for encouragement how you healing now ?
  12. pain in donor area still lingering . its very incomfortable , nothing extreme , just frustrating . got myself some aloe vera gel to try and ease area
  13. update woke up last night .(early hours of tues morning)approx. 4 days after transplant to a lot of pain in donor area. this was an intense tingling /piercing pain . I took some painkillers and this gradually subsided. its now the morning after and all seems to be ok again except for the still bad swelling. the pain was very frustrating and defo not able to sleep on it. I have read this recently quite a bit with pain developing approx. 4-5 days after. little bit strange as I would have expected pain to be immediate afterwards .
  14. hard to know re swelling .some people have none at all like me first time around . not sure if anyway of reasoning why some do and some dont
  15. hi spanker . my mistake in terms of who dr was not much to go on mind you perhaps he might add further info http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171341-swelling-after-hair-transplant.html
  16. going ; i knew this would be a possibility spanker ; hi spanker . i have not been icing and doctor did not actually prescribe ant inflammatory medicine . i read a post lately saying that icing can actually make the swelling worse think it was dr carman. he did suggest a head band to help relieve swelling . s2 driver. iv been lazy on the massage front . i have been doing exercises but not as much as suggested. i think the swelling is gradually subsiding . i must say it is not painful just uncomfortable and leaves you housebound . strangely my first ht i had no swelling at all .
  17. update . is now day 3. i have experienced no pain as yet however have developed some extensive swelling .this started very mildly in forehead on day one and continued yesterday . my right eye has completely closed over. look like done 12 rounds with mike Tyson. i advice anyone when bookin procedure to travel home immediately after or leave enough time for potential swelling to die down usually 5 days . i would hate to be travelling in this condition
  18. bkw - yea I was doing the sums .he has quite a big team around him obviously all to be paid along with Clemens etc I struggle to see how making money!!
  19. mickey ; cost was a big factor when considering . I just don't see point of paying more for something when no need. I must say at one euro a graft I thought to good to be true . I don't see this price structure lasting though. I may have got transplant for 1 euro a graft from a sureon who may turn out to be one of the best in the business
  20. yes I feel the fee is only thing hampering joining. he may have to put rate up to accommodate this . he showed me pictures of high norwood results and they were outstanding
