  1. thanks again.... they did just say, no need you can come back again and have it done. And I thought, yeh, who benefits from that... They do. I think 7K is a lot for just front section fill in. Anyone have ballparks of these things I've seen Rogers a year ago for a consult, but had no recommends so didn't know what you guys thought. Be good to know if anyone had a good experience. Certainly be a hell of a lot easier than traveling IF he's good.
  2. believe it or not, I've been looking for years, and visited 2 in the last year, neither of which are rated on here, but I've no idea of costs and what is right. ?7000GB for crown area as well as front I'd have thought normal, but just for front area to give more density, am not so sure
  3. Thank you all, you know what.. I don't even know if the 7K was FUE or the other one? That's how little info I received from 2 appointments. Language barrier slightly yes, but not that much. Does 7K sound alot to you for just the front fill in, and a 4 hour procedure?
  4. Forget it, couple of days and you can top up if you want in the morning, but that stuff rubs off over night, regardless of sprays to keep in place. It's not THAT good. I've tried, Toppik, Nanogen and one other, All of them rub off overnight for me on crown.
  5. thanks for that, I was quoted 7K for just filling in the front, which is a bank loan job whichever way I look at it. I've not got that money, And that's not the full job. So if I'm going to borrow that sort of money, I'd like to get it right first time round, and it's not someone who's particularly well regarded on here in all honesty. I'm happy to borrow that amount for a result, but not comfortable with the 'yes no problem, you'll be happy' approach when I've only ever seen one review and they weren't happy. thanks, I saw only one short line on here about Dr Reddy so wasn't sure Thanks, you say strongly advised, What would you say to surgeons that say, don't bother, if it gets worse you can come back and have it done again? I don't really want to be bothered with either drug, but would you find it strange that any surgeon said don't bother taking either? Your transplanted hair, I assume would grow OK without drugs Anyone know why Rogers didn't follow up on this forum?
  6. Thanks again, Thanks, I've put this off so long, I just can't wait much longer for this, hair is falling badly Wonder why that is, thanks anyway. Was asking on the other thread about drugs after the HT and if it's possible to go on without them and it said you have to take Fin. Can minox protect existing hair, and does the HT hair stay with you as told to me by surgeon?
  7. and Minox wouldn't be enough after the HT to protect existing hair? The HT hair the surgeon said stays forever, Is that a lie too?
  8. Thanks for that, I did wonder, because I never hear his name mentioned on here. I've been quoted quite a bit of money for someone in France, for only a small portion of what needs doing. They don't quote number of hairs though, It's more a 'yeh, sure, we can do that, no problem' type consultation. And then come back in a year for some more. Is that the normal time between procedures for most people, A year? Still amazed nobody in London worth their weight, after all these years...
  9. I saw a surgeon that said they can fill in the front of my head because it's thinning out and receding, and then a year later, can do the back, crown area. I asked if I should be taking Propecia or Minox, and they said 'No'. My hair is still falling out, and I said but it's still falling out, and they said, well then you come back and we do it again. Is this what you want to hear? I mean, I'm all for not taking anything because I don't really want to. But do most HT surgeons feel this way? Is Minox OK to start on a month before a procedure, or can newly translpanted hair growing through interfere with what the Minox may be trying to push out? Strange question I know, but it might happen? Spex, if you/re reading this, I sent you a PM about 6 weeks ago, Is there another way to get in touch with you regarding good surgeons in the London area?
  10. Could anyone please give me some advice or reviews regarding Dr Rogers in London? Thanks
  11. Dermatch is nothing more than painting your head. You have to have quite a bit of hair to use it on it's own. Personally, I can't use it without fibres afterwards or it would look ridiculous. If you're lucky enough to still have good coverage everywhere then you can get away with it on it's own
  12. Hey Scar, what did you mean about the minox comment, 'slits'? I've seen people on youtube get really good results with Minox but understand that's not common when you're an all over diffuse....
  13. Can't get hold of Clanvin, but is there nobody else on these forums who can testify to this woman at all? Be interested if it was a team effort or if she did it herself?
  14. Sincere apologies to you. I didn't see your reply here... until now, for some reason. Thanks for the advice, I will look him up. As we seem to be in very short supply over here, and all the ones we know about in the public eye who have had them done in London, don't ever look good. I was recommended to this surgeon on this thread in France, but nobody wishes to elaborate about their experiences, which is a bit of a shame.
  15. Thank you, wasn't aware of Dr Reddy, when London is mentioned most people turn their noses up and say you have to travel for a good HT? His results looks quite good.... So Propecia helps hang on, but neither make much difference in growing. what if you put Minox on healthy hair, and hair that wasn't going to fall, or HT hair. Do you then become reliant on it, even the healthy hair?
