  1. Harir,

This is really intresting, i wonder why not alot of ppl talk about this product since apparently more and more ppl are afraid to take propecia because of the sides.

Was this product tested and proved ? Also is it confirm that it has no sides at all since it is oral and might still play with your hormons but im not sure (I always thought tropical products are much safer when it comes to sides).

    Thanks,

  2. Hi aim4hair, I stopped using Lipogaine because it really dries out my hair and make it look brittle. It doesnt work well with me. Plus the ingredients of Lipogaine works similar to propecia by stopping 5ar to producre DHT with less sides. Unlike S-Equol which I believe its a breakthrough with binding with DHT to make it not effective on hair follicle instead of stopping it completely plus its oral and easier to use. Hope this answers you.

    Thanks Hariri.

  3. Does this product really work ? and does it have any sides ?

Also Hariri, im just curious since this already have a DHT blocker, why do you still use things like S-Equol and Saw Plametto separately ?

I am not planning to take propecia and was thinking to use rogaine foam and revivogen but i don't know if this product is any better since i have never seen it mentioned by forum users.

  4. I really have high hopes in Histogen which might be available within 3 to 5 years but who knows.

As for cloning as to take one graft and clone it and have unlimited supply in one session i think we still need along time to see this happening.

As for the stemcel procedure it is available now and it promises at least 80-85% re-growth at the donor area, i don't think it is expensive but the problem is that you can't have many grafts in one session since the maximum is 2000 and then you have to wait 9 months between sessions.

  5. While i have respect for all talented doctors regardless which procedure they do, and i don't see any problem with doctors marketing their work.

But i really don't understand what more ppl need to consider HST legit, Dr. Gho provided scientific peer reviewed papers about his technique, he performed on advanced cases amd also did work on public figures where no scammers will dare to do since they are under the spot and if his technique does not work as claimed he will be exposed, he is welling to proove his technique to any doctor who is intrested, he has clinics in diffrent countries and cities for like 4 years since he started doing HST with no complaints or lawsuits amd he is still expanding, some online forum members went through HST and seemed satisfied and documented their case, Dr. Gho won all lawsuits from doctors who claimed he was scammer, so im comfused what more ppl are asking for ?

Actually some ppl just criticize Gho for the results of less than 2000 grafts on his webpage which if he was scammer, this is the easiest part to fool ppl with as explained in the below link

As i said before, i don't think any surgery will replace the other, this will only give patients more options, but let's be realistic, what more proof do you guys expect to say HST is legit ?

Some ppl say that they won't beleive in it unless they see nw7 become nw1, which means that they will ignore all evidence and wait for years to see that happen, and that's for a simple reason, to make that transformation you need more than 10000 grafts.

Dr. Gho just recently started to do bigger sessions (up to 2000) grafts since before he used to do 500 to 600 grafts and as we all know you have to wait 9 to 12 months between sessions and since HST been out there for like 4 years so of course no such case existed yet, but i beleive we will see this transformation within couple of years (and im sure dr. Gho would not accept to perform on nw6 celebrity like dean saunders unless he beleives he can make that transformation) but should we really waste all those years waiting for this transformation to happen to accept this procedure ? I think that is a bad idea

  6. Thanks for posting that Aim4hair.

It would be great if he could do that.

you welcome, i really think that we reached the point where some doctors should really put their ego aside and step up and do serious effort to see if HST works as claimed, regardless if it works or not providing evidence would put an end to this debate and do good for everybody.

There is a doctor from atlanta who is looking seriously into this and planning to visit gho in august to verify his technique.

One thing i give gho credit for is that he is not afraid to perform his technique on public figures, since i would assume if somebody is trying to pull off a scam he would try to avoid public figures as much as possible.

  7. Plus, it's easier to apply concelaers on the crown once the front is taken care off. but it's really hard to apply concealers on the hairline (not natural and easier to predict).

Once more thing, if you run out of grafts along the way, you can use body hair on the crown to thick it up, but again if you use body hair on the front, in my openion it will not look natural.

  8. Agreed. He's done more surgeries than you can shake a stick at so I'm sure he made these recommendations for good reasons. After all, he looked at this guy's head up close. None of us have.

Actually i beleive that dr. Bisanga is lean toward FUT more than FUE.

I have made a consultation with many doctors and while some of them recommend FUE to me and said i was a good candidate(which was my request to go with FUE in the first place) dr. Bisanga was trying to convince me to go for FUT.

    Arturmeireles,

My advice is that if your donor is limited and not dense then avoid FUT dude, because with the level of your hair loss there is a chance that you won't have good coverage and you might end up not liking the result and in that case you don't wanna lose the option of cutting your hair short.

If i were in your place i will consider 3 options:

    1) read more about HST and if the evidence convince you about the re-generation of donor, then go for it, even though you will need couple of years to achieve your goal but if gho claims are right (which nobody including doctors could prove them wrong with evidence yet) then it might be the way to go.

    2) stick with FUE and try to get as many grafts as you can to get you something to work with then use concealers.

    3) use a mix of FUE and BHT to get as many grafts as you can.

    Good Luck!

  9. I did watch the video attached but only saw a picture at ten days post op.

The presentation and documentation of the results shown on the website are poor in my opinion.

The results ideally need to be presented with month on month pictures to 12-18 months taken at different angles in the correct lighting, pre op and immediate post op, graft numbers of the hair used, donor density, hair diameter, videos of the patients etc etc.

I cannot find any of this.

This is one of the main attractions of the major forums in my opinion as they are currently the the best source of information available for perspective patients to view and the good surgeons put up countless patients presentations like what I have stated above.

He had a video updat after 4 and 9 months

  10. Can you help clarify "investigate" and "prove?"

Furthermore, I'm not sure how we prove or disprove the procedure. Is there evidence supporting the very exciting and promising technique? Of course. Dr. Gho himself authored an excellent article in a respected Dermatology journal and several of the physicians I asked to review the technique commented on the interesting nature and quality of the research. However, in the same sense, the objective post-operative results and overall research behind the technique blatantly does not meet the current standards set by FUE/FUT techniques. If patients are aware of the pros and cons of each technique, then I don't think anyone has a problem with both options. However, I don't think it's possible to take any of this information and "prove" something one way or another. If you have an idea on how to scientifically prove or disprove the procedure, let me know what you were thinking. I'd honestly research it further or take the idea to other individuals with the means to consider the project. .

Thanks again for your effort Blake!

In scissor boy's 4 month post op video which he posted in his facebook page:

    Jul 17, 2011 1:15pm | Facebook

He wrote a comment and i quote:

"I am willing to have my donor area shaved so the area can be inspected but if I do I want to have 2 independent and unbiased qualified doctors/labs to do the inspection. Some other people have been talking about setting this up butI haven't heard anything back from them yet."

Maybe you guys can get in touch with him and make some arrangements.

Furthermore, there are many guys on diffrent forums (HS) who are scheduled to go through HST and planning to document their case, and im sure if there is a real intention to investigate, some of them might be welling to have their donor inspected prior and post HST.

  11. I agree with moopookoo on his last comment.

It would be great if the HRN team takes the lead to investigate HST instead of watching it progress and wait until it’s adopted by more doctors in the industry which many people see it coming.

After all, all what hair loss sufferers really need is a real investigation backed with evidence that put an end to this once and for all.

Any by taking the lead you will gain the respect of everybody regardless the result of the investigation.

And after all, I believe if HST was spread and confirmed it will just give another option for patients without replacing any old technique. Because even if HST was confirmed to work, some people would not care about the re-generating or the scar free option and would rather go for high session HTs instead of doing less than 2000 grafts every 9 – 12 months, and some others might still prefer the results of traditional techniques and so on.

So it’s really a win win situation for everybody.

  12. About Dr. Gho, I don't think you would risk it with him as your condition cant bare any mistakes. He is good for patients with good donors and want to keep it this way but his results do not wow me really. I really don't advice to go to him, visit his website and view his results then judge. Lorenzo and Bisanga are way better IMHO. Good luck.

Actually i beleive the resuls are good for the number of grafts, don't forget most of those cases got less than 2000 grafts and you can't compare those to other doctors results with high number of grafts. Plus, have you seen wesley sneijder result, to me that was impressive.

  13. Actually i know a friend who lives in saudi arabia (which is way more strict and closed than dubai) and he orders his rogaine from amazon using the method i told you. He said it's fine as long as you buy for your personal use and not in bulk.

Dubai is very international city and it has like everything, so i guess you will be able to find rogaine foam there easly but in case you don't then you can order it online.

One more thing you can do is that you can buy a year supply or 6 months and take them with you, when you take the stuff with you (reasonable quantity) they won't take them from you in the airport dont worry. I never tried to do that with rogaine foam but i travel around the middle east alot (including dubai) and i take with me all kind of supplements (protein, multi-vitamins, pre-work powders) and never had any issue.

  14. Hi all,

I'll be moving to dubai for work in about 2 months.

I've been using rogaine foam, pros car 1mg and nizoral for over 3 years with good results. I'm now concerned that I won't be able to get these meds in Dubai and that I won't be able to bring them in or get them delivered because of Dubai's strict rules.

I notice there is a lot of users from the UAE here so I really hope I can get some help on my questions:

    1. Is rogaine foam available over the counter in Dubai? If not are there any alternatives?

    2. Is pros car/propecia available ? How would go about getting it?

    3. Can these meds be ordered online an delivered to Dubai?

    Thanks so much in advance!

    Mike

    Propecia is available.

im not sure about rogaine foam though, but in Dubai, you can buy a US address from shipping companies like Aramex, DHL, etc..

and then you can use it to buy the foam from amazon directly and they will ship it to you.

  15. Scar5 and FinHairLoss thank you for your replies!

Scar5 I like the idea of visiting Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid but only If I cancel 100% with Dr. Bisanga. I live in Porto and its easy to go to Madrid for me. Although I would like to give Dr. Gho a try. I have an appointment with Dr. Gho clinic on August 29th.

Like FinaHairLoss said, I already have 1700€ on the table :- / so what you guys think if I go to Dr. Bisanga just for a hair beard implant? I wondering if there is a maximum numbers of grafts when using the hair from the beard. Do you guys know? Do you think Dr. Bisanga would refuse to do a FUE using only hair from my beard? Its possible to use the hair of the beard to implant on the front of the head?

By the way I want to save the hair on my head for a future implant with Dr. Gho.

Dr. Wesley technique its already available? How it does compare to Dr. Gho technique?

Dr. Wesely scarless technique is not yet available, in his site it says it will be available as soon as 2013, i have requested more info about it but never got a reply.

Both techniques are claimed to be scarless! But dr. Gho's technique is also claimed to re-generate 80 to 85% of your donor area which will give you more donor supply, while dr. Wesely's scarless technique is not claimed to solve donor limitation issue.

Dr. Gho currently only perform a maximum of 2000 grafts (sometimes 2500 if your donor good enough for that) while he claims that you can use the same grafts in your next session 6-9 months later since they will be re-generated.

Im not sure how many grafts will dr. Wesley do in one session but i guess the number will be higher.

Do your search and go for what you think is right.

  16. Moopookoo

I sincerely hope that HST/HSI is a success as I am interested in it myself but let's be honest and not get ahead of ourselves; the results Dr Gho demonstrates are inferior and not up to the standard of the work demonstrated by the top surgeons currently.

His Unique selling point is regeneration of the donor supply and if the donor supply does not regenerate properly which questions have been asked-there is nothing special and unique about HSI .

As it stands, they can only do small procedures and for someone with a high level Norwood baldness, the patient is going to be waiting several years before they can regain a reasonable amount of hair. I have not seen anyone yet with a large amount of money who is very bald, look at regenerating their head to a good level and have seen no examples of this.

Regarding fue and body hair- body hair will never replace scalp hair and is an alternative for a patient who has a poor depleted donor supply but to class body hair as on the same level as scalp hair is ludicrous.

Body hair gives a bit of coverage and has some subtle added benefits but for the prices charged personally, I would rather just shave my head bald-it looks like bum fluff.

I am all for fue and it has a number of positives but the best results seen to date, the most consistent results achieved and the most efficient use of donor supply is by gold standard strip.

Most of this argument comes from one doctor who I will not refer to and in my opinion you only have to look at his unethical, questionable marketing tactics on his website to see this.

It would be unethical for this site to promote Dr Gho currently when there are still question marks and controversy regarding the new technique.

I am open to new ideas and want hair transplantation to progress like anyone else but let's wait and see how it progresses.

Actually, i think the results of the HST cases i saw are similar to traditional HTs considering the number of grafts used.

Most strip HTs go for a high number of grafts in one session, so it's unfair to compare but if you take a FUE, FUT, and HST cases with the same number of grafts (less than 2000) you will find the results pretty similar.

Actually, i respect Future_HT_DOC's openion, because even if he beleives in FUT and FUE more, at least he is not attacking HST and dr. Gho like many others (who do that with no evidence to back their attacks) actually, my understanding is that future_Ht_doc is kinda beleive in HST and thinks that it's a matter of time before it spread and be adopted by other HT doctors in the industry (he can correct me if im wrong but that's what i understood from his posts).

  17. I think it's ok though, just share it with him, most husbands would love to have their wives always looking their best.

See IMHO, many guys such as my self, are hesitant to go the HT route because once they do they will lose the option to shave (which is so common now and most guys with hair loss sport that look) so if the HT goes wrong they have to live with it forever and they can't even shave.

But for women since they do not shave anyways, so going for an HT is a win win situation even if god forbid the result is not as they expected, it will not change their look snd inworst cases they will most likely look just as they did before the HT. unlike some other surgeries like a nose job where it will change your whole look either flr the better or worse and if it goes wrong, you are screwed.

Just be open with him, and im sure he will understand at the end of the day there is no guy that does not like to have his girl look better :)

  18. So if somebody has a good donor to provide around 9000 graft, does that mean he can have a full head of hair even if he was nw6 ?

Im kinda confused here maybe im wrong but i was under the thought that the average donor supply for most ppl is 7 to 9k , then why ppl always say that (even most doctors) if you are nw6 or nw7 you are not a candidate for HTs and there is nothing you can do but wait ?
