  1. Some ppl mention that when you put minox at night even if you don't go to bed directly, there is s possibility minox will drop on pillow and cause issues.

What about ppl who apply minox in the morning and then go to gym after sometime without washing it off ? As you know in the gym you sweat and the sweat goes all over your head ?

Im just asking cause i never saw this issue brought up...

  2. I think an hour is probably enough for it to be absorbed. In the morning, I often workout very intensely at a very hot and humid boxing gym. I typically get around one hour worth of the application (which is basically how long it takes me to get to the gym) before the sweating seems to wipe away the application. I think that length should be fine. I am considering doing a buzz cut for the time being, at least until I get to notice to regrowth.

Do you wash rogaine before workout or just let the sweat wipe it off.

I dont know man, you read so many stuff about this and maybe most of it not true, but i read if you sweat alot while having rogaine on, it could go down to your face and some of it be absorbed there which could increase the possibility of some potential sides such as unwanted hair on face, puffy face and wrinkles.. This all could be BS, im not sure, but im just trying to be careful with this.

  3. I have a buzz cut with like 0 to 1 guard.

Sometimes i put the foam and it dries but my scalp still feel tie which is ok but the problem is that i sweat alot when i sleep and since my hair is buzzed it goes all over the pillow and i move alot while im a sleep so i dont want it to be all over my face, so i thought i could shampoo it before bed..

  4. Hi guys,

How long should i wait after i apply rogaine foam if i wanna take a shower and shampoo my hair ??

I have a buzz cut and I feel that the foam dries pretty fast and is absorbed to my scalp within couple of minutes. Would shampooing an hour or 2 after the application be ok ? Or it would take out all the benifits

P.S. i only use it once aday.

I've checked your photos and made a little search about HST on the net.Did you really notice regrowth in donor area after HT? İf there is regrowth, this is fantastic. I'havent heard HST procedure before.İf there is such a method, why so many people still prefer fue? I'll follow your situation closely. İf there is regrowth this means unlimited donor hair, at least chance for multiple procedures.

I did notice regrowth in my donor, it was very clear with zoomed in pics that there were hair coming out of the extraction sites. Now some skeptics think that Gho is just splitting hair, but as for me i believe it's regeneration not splitting. There is a guy on other forums called gc83uk who documented his donor regrowth with very clear analysis, you can look him up.

Of course i can't confirm if what's happening is regrowth or not, but i can confirm that HST leaves no scars to the visible eyes, or very minimal that you won't have any issues shaving to the bone.

İf there is such a method, why so many people still prefer fue?

Read about the history of FUE and you will see how long it has been in the market before ppl even considered it, why do you think the case with HST will be any diffrence ? i agree that HST might not be very famous in the online forums but they have 4 clincs so far with a huge waiting list.... new clinc to open in Jakerta this year and another one in Dubai in the coming 2 years, so many ppl are going for that technique as well.

Plus no technique will take over others, some ppl still prefer FUT, some people prefer FUE and some prefer HST, it's all up to patients goal, and with current technology you can get good results with all of them.

İf there is regrowth this means unlimited donor hair, at least chance for multiple procedures

It does not provide unlimited donor suppy since the minimum regrowth percentage they gurantee is 80-85% so you might lose 15-20% in each op. but yeah you have chance for multiple procedures, according to them there are ppl who did 8 procedures, also Gerard Joling (a famous dutch singer) did 3 HSTs so far after 2 strip ops in the past, which is alot and according to them he can go for more.

  6. Hi aim4hair

I've been keeping my existing hair for 6 years thanks to buzz cut and shaving but there may still a little loss as you said but I think it's not noticable because somebody with long hair might already lose up to 100 hairs a day.Alongside buzz cut, I shaved my head numerous times so far.I might give medicines a try but it looks like a mentally exhausting job.Frankly I dont dream of long healty hair anymore, darkness which hair follicules give is enough for me just like this http://cdn03.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/bana-bald/eric-bana-bald-19.jpg or like this https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQWJpmAr1m24l8H2ZObwek67MOg25ONycqnBhFaxvyg_6hqEbShXg

if you looking to have your hair as short as the ones in the pics (0 guard), you might wanna look into HST (the one i had) since FUE will leave visible white dots, if you wanna have the sides and back shaved with a guard 2 then white dots should not be visible with FUE and you are good to go.

  7. You have the same goal as me, which is to have an HT to sport the buzz cut. I beleive that's an achievable goal since you can achieve more with less grafts.

I had 2080 grafts transplanted less than 2 months ago and i shave 0 guard now witt no issue, as for the final result, it's too early to judge but so far so good.

One thing i'd like to mention is that, you still lose hair even if you keep your hair buzzed, i start buzzing my hair around 5 years ago and i lost hair since then, you can give meds a try, at least rogaine foam once or twice aday (which should be so easy to apply with a buzzed hair) and nizoral shampoo once or twice aweek. you can look into propecia too if you want to, since it is effictive but read about it first and understand the possibility of sides and see if you wanna take the risk.

  8. Hi TL,

The effects of nizoral can certainly help refresh the bounce no doubt, giving the hair a fuller body. Your fine hair type obviously suits the shampoo especially after the deep clean it gives.

BE CAREFUL - DO NOT OVERUSE nizoral shampoo as its common to get a little too familiar with it and it WILL make your hair shed!!!

    You have been warned amigo.

    Personally 1 x a week max!

    Best

    S

    Hey Spex,

I can only find nixoral 2% where i live, is it good to use it once aweek ? or i should avoid the 2% and just look for 1% ?

  9. Hey guys,

Sorry if this question been asked before but i would like to know how do you prefer to apply rogaine foam and how to measure the dosage ?

I was using the spray and it was easy to measure, 6-8 puffs and then rub it over nw6 area and im done.. Now im switching to the foam, and i read that if you put it on your hand it melts!! Some ppl put it directly on the scalp but how can you measure the dosage (you might put more or less than the recommended).

Also should i use the recommended dosage to cover nw6 as well ? How can you use the same dosage to cover nw2 and nw6 ?? Is that even possible ?

i only use it once aday at night

    Your input is really appreciated

  10. Aim4hair, did Dr. Gho personally do your procedure? Did he do all the extractions, incisions etc? How was he in person? Reason I ask is because on their website it states they have 4 different clinics that do HST so I thought Dr. Gho couldn't do all the procedures himself?

Yeah there are diffrent doctors in HASCI but i did it with Dr. Gho himself, he was very confident and professional, and this is how the procedure went:

    • One technician did the extraction.

    • Dr. Gho did the hair line and the holes.

    • 2 technicians at a time placed the grafts.

During that time Dr. Gho was in and out supervising the whole thing.

  11. Nice. Do you plan on keeping a shaved head real low? To be fair, and it is only 5 weeks I can see the scarring (and I can't tell if it is scarring I am seeing or just the gaps of missing hair), but I was looking for it. I don't think anyone would notice. Very very good looking donor area, probably the cleanest I've seen. This looks like a nice procedure for someone that wants to share their head to a zero but wants a hairline.

Thnks for your comment Spanker, if you see my pre op pic you will see that i already had some gaps pre op.

Accoring to HASCI it takes 9 months for the donor area to fully heal and regnerate, this is why HASCI require 9 months between sessions if you decide to opt for multiple sessions.

I don't know if i have any scars now but they definitely not visible to the naked eyes, i do have some pimples though, that's why there is redness in some spots but even the redness is not really visible without the camera flash. nobody could tell that I had anything done even the ones who knew that i had an HST can't tell that my donor looks any diffrence than it did before (except for the little pimples) and i shave my head with no guards now just like i used to do pre op.

  12. Aim4hair,

    Congrats on your procedure , hope everythong goes well . Just a couple of questions ;

    - have ever spoken about situation of full blown nw6 with this technique? İ mean what can be achieved?

-did you choose your hairline or the doctors suggested?

    -how was the procedure overall??

thanks man, created a new thread and will be willing to answer questions there:

  13. Hello guys,

Before going into the HT path, i was always looking for pics of shaved donor areas post HTs since i always keep my hair buzzed and all i needed is to work on the midront and hairline for now to frame my face since my hair line was almost completly gone, but i never found a post with detailed post op donor pics which made me always hesitate to move forward. after alot of research i was convinced that HST is for me and went for it, below is how my donor look like post op, I had 2080 graft done.... All pictures were taking with 12 megapixel cam with flash:

    1) Pre op - teken in the clinic after they shaved my donor before op:

    2) Post op - in the clinic, right after HST:

    3) One week post op - before any haircut:

    4) Almost 5 weeks post op (with clippers with no guard, the shortest you can go before razor):

  14. @Aim4hair - Your donor area looks really good. I'd like to see 3 or 4 hair grafts extracted with a .5mm and .6mm needles.

I guess I'm confused as to Dr. Gho's technique.... Is Dr. Gho's technique try to extract just the 1 or 2 hairs from 3 or 4 hair follicular units so that you don't have the empty spots like traditional fue procedures?

    Thanks Janna,

no dr. Gho teqchnique is not about splitting (extract just the 1 or 2 hairs from 3 or 4 hair follicular units). Based on his research and studies he found that a part of the stem cell is enough to make the follicular unit grow in the recepient and regrow in the donor area as well, for example, if he takes a part of the stem cell for a follicular unit of 3 hairs, it will grow again in the donor with 3 hairs and also grow in the recepient with 3 hair.

This will multiply the number of grafts but will not provide unlimited donor supply since they gurantee a minimum donor regrowth of 80 -85% so there is a possibility 15 - 20% will not regrow.

Dr. Gho has scientific peer review journals where he explains his technique in details, i beleive you can find those online easly, also there is a video interview dr. Gho did with spencer kobren, where he explains his technique, you can find it on youtube.

  15. Aim4hair thanks for posting those two pics. Looks pretty good!

How many total grafts did you end up transplanting and if possible what is the graft breakdown singles, doubles, triples etc... I think I'm pretty much maxed out so I'm very curious and interested in Dr. Gho's technique. I believe that his method is extarcting a single hair from a multi-hair graft thus splitting it on the spot. But if that type of procedure makes virtualy unscared donor area...I'm all for it.

Keep us posted with updates and good growth to you!

Here are couple of mine #1 guard donor area pics after 4K+ grafts:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=8225&d=1283494265

I did alot of research regarding his technique including the scientific peer papers, documented cases, and other factors and im convinced that HST is about regeneration not splitting and this is what made me go for it. So far im really impressed about healing, minimum scaring and over all result, but it's still too early to judge about the final result and i'll state my openion honestly and if i end up being unsatesfied ill be the first to tell.

Btw on other forum there is a super clear documented result for a guy called gc83uk who had 2 HSTs so far and going for his third soon, and in his recepient it shows that the transplanted hair are growing with multiple hairs.

After all, It all comes down to your research and study, i beleive ppl who do their homework right are less likely to end up regretting their decission.

  16. .5 & .6?

It'll be interesting to see if you get any white dots. Does Dr. Gho extract just single hairs with .5 punches, that's pretty small?

According to them they*use a needle of 0.5 up to 0.6 mm to extract only a minimal piece of tissue. This tissue contains part of the hair stem cells, which is sufficient to produce a new hair.

Regarding the grafts, each may contain 1 to 4 individual hairs.

  17. Thanks for that aim4hair. Very interesting! Feel free to use this thread to update us! Although I think a standalone thread would get more attention.

I think Gho claims an 80% regeneration rate? Does that mean that 20% of the extraction sites will have missing follicles but no white dots?

Thanks Mickey, yeah ill make a seprate thread with details soon.

Yeah they gurantee atleast 80 to 85% regeneration and according to them the follicles that do not regenerate will not create white dots since the punch size they use is 0.5 - 0.6

  18. That's another shot taking 3 weeks post op with grade 0.5 (1/2), the pic is taken with flash using a 12 megapixel cam.

P.S. the noticable white gap on the left side was there before surgery.

im planning to cut it grade 0 next time and will update.
