How about some pics?
I stayed in the Old one. It was pretty nice as well. I heard the new one is great.

I have not seen anything in regards to Avodart continuing their testings in the hair loss field. However, there may be a generic available soon in the US market. With that said, you can still get Avodart for off label use if you want it now.
You can actually get the generic now.

There are exceptions to nearly every rule. But the rule is the rule for a reason. And the rule in this case is that early-onset baldness is a very ominous indication. Granted, there are some people who experience significant pre-25 loss and then stabilize, but again, they're the exception. The majority of men who experience significant loss at age 22 are headed for an advanced NW category.
Of course, I haven't met this patient, haven't seen his head, and haven't read his file, so I have no idea whether he's an exception. But having read these forums since 2003, I know that there can't possibly be as many exceptions as claimed. The majority of pre-25 patients are headed for advanced baldness and are not good candidates for surgery.
Also, I have to ask you: If you could press a button and go back to 18, would you have gotten that surgery with that doctor? Or would you have waited and gone to someone else?
You make great points!
And yes you are correct, I wouldn't recommend a HT for anyone under the age of 30. I was just speaking for my case.
If I could press a button??? NO WAY would I have gotten it...however in my case, looking back, I'm glad I did because right now I'd just bald ( which would be ok ) but having the work at 18 forced me to have to go to Dr Rahal and that has restored my confidence to my teens. But I've also really rededicated myself to continue to use my hair loss meds.
In my case, it worked out for the best.

I think it's a pretty good result. I just hate the idea of losing 2300 grafts to the crown.

Dr Lorenzo is top notch. I've been looking at his work. If I ever decide to ge FUE he will be my first call.
-
OK. So he's 24, and you say that he's been researching hair transplants for "at least" two years. In other words, he's been noticeably balding since "at least" 22. Perhaps even earlier.
"Might" and "If"? He's had noticeable hair loss since "at least" 22 and maybe even before. So the question isn't whether he'll need another procedure; it's whether he'll have enough hair left at 30 to justify it.
I started losing my hair at 16. I had my first transplant at 18, second one at 20....third one and life saver at 37 by Dr Rahal. I have more hair now at 42 than I did at 25. Some people lose hair at a slower rate.

Should be perfectly fine!

Ok, so what's the latest with Avodart? Is it in any studies? I read somewhere it could be few approved this year for hair loss?

Your not gonna regret this decision!

Dr Konior great! Love him. Had a consult with him. He will shoot you straight! And I would listen to him!
-
Yup, apparently he is performing two procedures a day now, and there have been rumblings that he has taken on too much, but the clinic did come on this site to clarify and answer those rumurs. I think it is further compunded by the fact that you are seeing less results being posted these days because of the reasons by Yonex and the Ottawa law regarding self-advertizing, but the ones that are being posted have been killer, so I highly doubt the quality of his work has dropped, and haven't seen any evidence that they have. His hairlines are absolutely killer too. I'm a fan.
I would love for someone to post the thread link where his clinic explained 2 procedures per day( I was in his chair from 6 AM till 6 PM ) for my FUT. I have no idea how he could to two a day.
However I'm not doubting him, his techs are very skilled and really after he harvest the grafts and makes the incisions he's basically done. That really doesn't take that long for the doctor. I still would like a full day just dedicated to me, especially if I were spending 15k. But I'm sure he has his reasons.
-
I figured he was still the man! I was the only procedure of the day. Smaller cases he would do two a day sometimes. If I had to go back and do it all over, I'd still pick him. Especially with my huge FUT case! Thanks for your kind words about my results! Good luck on your decision.

I'm four years post op. I'm guilty of having going out and enjoying my life after my results with Dr. Rahal.
Just wondering if he still producing the same excellent results as popular as he ever was

Hmm I don't want to jinx you mate but scar changes a lot between 4-6 months in my opinion you don't know what your scar will be like till 6 months but sounds like you're on right path.

Yes. Could be numb for 6 months or maybe even a year. It just sort of goes away unnoticed.

Sugar
Long time no hear...
How many grafts total? Was your first procedure FUT?
Your hair looks great!
-
I Like Rahal, but again you are splitting hairs…no pun intended.
-
Of course! Excellent work.

Thanks NewHair! I appreciate the quick response. I've had two procedures and am looking to add density. I was hoping to meet someone personally who has had multiple procedures.
Do most clinics have individuals that agree to that?
Most great clinics will put you in touch with patients who are willing to share their results…If I were local in Canada, I would do it for Dr Rahal.
