Im ok with having a shave before a HT, but what is the reason some shave and some dont? Also, if they shave you bald, how can they see the existing hair? Im know there is a good reason for a shave , I would just like to know them. Also, I have 3 weeks off this summer, will that be en enough time for me to grow my native hair back out from a shave?

Im a huge fan of Dr. Konior...the reason I picked him is he does most, if not all the grafting himself! Also, he is a plastic surgeon and I think that gives him an artistic edge. He has answered everyone one of my questions and concerns personally by email or phone! Im sure you cant go wrong with any of the ones you listed. Konior was an easy choice for me though!

If you have a great HT doctor, what is the shortest gaurd you can usually cut your hair with? Is it possible to use a 1/4 inch and it look good?

I spoke with Tom about the pricing. After a certain amount of grafts it goes down. In my case, I may have to have a couple of old grafts excised and split which will cost more, but from the patient results and the one on one he has already given me it's an easy decision. I'm hoping I can have one major session and be done!!

Just want to say I'm planning a procedure with Dr Konior in the near future and I have sent him probably 15 emails. He has returned every one of them promptly and answered all my questions. His professionalism is excellent !!

to have for a transplant?? Obviously thick, but aside from that would it be coarse or fine? Would gray hair be better than brown?

I was wondering if anyone thought taking Proscar, half in the moring and half in the evening, might give better results?? The reason I am wondering is beause the half life is so short. So before switching to Avodart which is much more pwerful than even 5mg of finasteride a day, just wondering what yall thought?

I think the half life for proscar is like 8 hrs?? It just seems like you might get better results taking it with Rogaine 2x a day to keep it fresh in your system...maybe Im reaching

How many grafts are you planning on getting this time around?

I personally think any hair loss drug( proven hair loss drug ) is worth a try..I would not start it and then stop it though. If I started it I would continue to use it.

How effective is oral monixidil as opposed to topilcal? Are there many doctors who are willing to prescribe it for hair loss? Is anyone out there using it, if so, what kind of results?

Get a script, try it..if you are really wanting to keep your hair. Most men DO NOT suffer side affects( according to finasteride side affects ). Even if you do suffer side affects, most go away with continued treatment.

If anyone can answer that, maybe you can answer this as well?? Dr Stough in Arkansas won the Golden Follicle in 1998,,just wondering why he is not listed?

and we know for a fact Avodart stops 90 percent of DHT within one week and 93 percent after two years at .5 dose.....and finasteride only pervent 70 percent DHT formation...

Why is everyone NOT taking Avodart?

Now I am torn between 3 doctors...

Dr Brad Limmer, Dr Konior, and Dr Ron Shapiro....obviously they are all great,

but this is a lifelong decision...who would you go to out of those three? Also, any advice to follow will be appreciated!!

I know this depends on variables, but Im just speaking on averages.....How many grafts can an average person get? And on FUT how many times does that equal being cut from basically ear to ear in the donor area?? Please help

Which is better?? I know I'm late in the game here, but why did Avodart not come through?? The trials seemed so good. Which do you guys prefer? It seems like Avodart would be better but I don't know.. Please help

I am trying to decide between these TWO doctors..DR Brad Limmer and Dr Konior...I live about equal distance away from each of them so travel does not bother me...I would just like someone to tell me the PROS and prehaps the CONS of each doctor..both are Coalition Members( not sure what that means, but it has to be good) Any and ALL advice will be apprecaited..

a thousand times, but here it is again...when using Rogaine, I put it all over the top of my scalp...it takes a little more than the required amount, other than it costing me more money to do this, IS IT OK TO DO THIS?

Is it normal for a HT doctor to have his techs do most if not all of the grafting? I was reading a lot about Dr. Limmer and I really want to go to him,but I was reading where he had his techs do the grafts...maybe most doctors do this, I dont know but I would like for someone to tell me...Also has anyone had any experience with Dr. Limmer?
