  1. Hi, I see that you've been a member for less than 1 month on Hair Transplant Network. I have to say that for such a new member your post is a bit on the rude side. You obviously have not done a lot of research on growth times regarding hair transplant procedures and I suggest you do a lot more before you have a procedure done. As I mentioned in my post I am 1 week short of 5 months after my operation. I can see fine fine hairs coming thru my hairline. These hairs will continue to mature for another 7 months and I will evaluate my transplant then. This is my second hair transplant and I know what to expect and I am not some newby. I suggest if you aren't convinced with the evidence presented to you by this forum or Doctor Radha Rani that you investigated another surgeon in India. I hope this answers your question.
  2. Hi, I am 1 week shy of the 5 month mark. When I had my first hair transplant I was a norwood VI and it was very easy to see the hair growing at 4.5 mark. I now have about 30 - 35 grafts on the front third of my head and I'm finding it harder to tell the difference, however, I can see some fine hair growing in the hairline. I will have to wait another 5 weeks before I evaluate how I am going. This time around I only had about 1300 grafts in the hairline to a depth of 7cm. Doctor Radha told me I had a tight closure in the donor area and she was concerned how the scare would go but I can say that it is still pencil thin and I think she did a good job. Have you had an in person consult with Doctor Radha? There are 2 members on the forum who have fully matured results with her i.e. Cardel25 and Subbu. Perhaps you can contact them for a recommendation. Cheers Rod
  3. Hi, I think you need to sit back and relax a minute. Your hair looks really solid and your worrying too much which doesn't help. If your really concerned contact Doctor Radha Rani who is a qualified dermatologist and also a HT surgeon. She is very honest and will tell you the truth and not mislead you. Cheers Rod
  4. Hi Tuja, I think Doctor Radha Rani's work looks good. I had my HT with her at her clinic almost 5 months ago and I mirror your comments. Sit back and relax and wait for the results to come in. Cheers Rod
  5. Hi, Many of the grafts don't shed during this period of time and it is normal for this to occur. I think doctor Radha has an FAQ of her website and this should help with other enquiries. Cheers Rod
  6. Hi, I can mirror Hector's experience with Doctor Radha. The only caveat I can think of is that whilst there have been a number of new clients posting on HTN this year there aren't many results for prospective clients to evaluate at this stage. I'm one of them being 4.5 months out from my HT. In comparison Doctor Madhu has many solid results on this forum for you to review but he does 2 - 3 procedures a day and most of the work is being completed by other support doctors and technicians. Doctor Radha is hands on and manage's her clinic and staff very well. Its a tough call but I think you'd be happy with either and it just depends what you prefer. Cheers Rod
  7. Hi, Glad your HT experience was positive and I think you've had a great result. Doctor Madhu and his staff provide good solid and consistent results for their clients. Cheers Rod
  8. Hi, I think the second person assisting her was Doctor Karen Kulakarn who both trained together at DHT Clinic. If so you were in doubly good hands because she performed my first HT and Doctor Radha did my second one. I hope it all goes well. Cheers Rod
  9. Hi Kardo, I'm glad that you had a good HT experience with Doctor Radha. She is a very kind person, ethical and dedication person in the art of hair restoration. How did you find the travel to India? I had a bit of culture shock when I was there but I was lucky enough to befriend a couple of students from Bhutan who helped me get around. The hardest part is going to be the next six months until you see an improvement. Check a post from Doctor Alexander he has a great take on growth times and expectations. Religiously follow your post op advice from the clinic. Good luck. Cheers Rod
  10. Hi, If your donor hair is okay you could pull off an acceptable result but you won't ever have a full head of hair. The result would frame your face and make you look younger. You do look like you might be heading towards a Norwood VII. Have you tried finasteride and minoxidil? Have you thought of having an in person consult with Doctor Radha for her to assess your donor hair? She is a very ethical person and will be honest with you. Cheers Rod
  11. Hi, You should do a search on this forum regarding Doctor Reddy which I think will give you some feedback regarding HT results. Doctor Madhu And Doctor Radha are the only recommended doctors on this forum from India. If Doctor Reddy is quoting total hairs and not grafts he probably doesn't perform ultra refined FUT and it is probably micro grafting which is an old technique. Cheers Rod
  12. Hi, I've done a lot of research and the feedback led me to have a hair transplant at DHT Clinic, Bangkok. I agree with the other posts that the very best HT surgeons reside in US/Canada, but there are also many good surgeons worldwide. If you chose Doctor Pathomvanich I think his rate is $2.80US per graft which I would suggest is substantially cheaper than anyone in Australia. He is also highly recommended surgeon on this forum. My second HT I went to India with Doctor Radha Rani and it was $1US per graft. She is also a recommended surgeon on this forum and at this stage I am 4 months post operation. I live in Perth and if you want any advice give let me know. Cheers Rod
  13. Hi, If u want good quality hair transplant and live in Australia you need to travel. In my case I went to DHT Clinic in Bangkok and for my second HT Doctor Radha Rani in India. I live in Perth and I'd be glad tp show my before/after photos to you. Cheers rod
  14. Hi, Why didn't you discuss your concerns with your surgeon? If you had concerns you should give him the opportunity to talk to you about them prior to posting on HTN. Did you conduct any research prior to having your HT? Regards Rod
  15. Hi, Good luck buddy! I had my HT with Doctor Radha on 21/1/2012. Currently almost 4 months post op. My scar has headled very well and I'm getting excited that I have entered the growth phase. You've chose well. Cheers Rod
  16. Hi, I've read a lot of information on this forum and my understanding there are variations in growth times for all members. In my case I could tell a difference at 4.5 months, it was quite easier to see the fine baby hair growing thru because I was so bald. I'm currently 4 months post op from my second HT and because I already have about 30 - 35 follicles per sec I'm finding that its more difficult to see the fine hairs. Just sit back and wait for the six months to conclude and then start worrying if you don't see any improvement. Good luck, Rod
  17. Hi, Nothing to be worried about at this stage. I saw a bit of growth at 4.5months for my first HT. if at 6 months your disappointed u should discuss with the clinic. Cheers Rod
  18. Hi William38, Thanks for your post. Can you show before/after photographs of your hair transplant with Dr De Reys for the forum to review. Its really important that this person is informed about this doctor before having a procedure. I must say that it sounds amateurish that he has hired his wife to help him perform FUE sessions. What qualification does his wife hold? Cheers Rod
  19. Hi, and the possibility of using up valuable grafts if the result isn't good. Seems like you have already decided to save up some more money and go to a good quality clinic. Cheers Rod
  20. Hi Robert, I am about 3.5 months post operation and its my understanding that it takes about 4 months for any growth to appear. I noticed baby like hair at about 4.5 months with my first hair transplant. This time it will be harder to see the first hairs coming thru because I have significantly more hair now. Start stressing if you can't tell the difference between 6 - 10 months. Good luck Rod
  21. Hi, You could try Doctor Madhu or Doctor Radha in India. Both doctors charge $1us per graft but you would also have to travel to India. They are also recommended on this forum. I would say that 3000 grafts would give you a good level of improvement. Cheers Rod
  22. Ps. Once a poor quality clinic has your money they won't care less about you. You need to consider what will happen if you have a botched surgery and what recourse you can take within the countries' legislation i.e. civil action. I live in Australia and you'd think that we have really good quality hair transplant clinics but the honest trust is that most are poor quality. The ability for a person to civilly claim against a doctor costs a considerable amount of money and most people don't bother and just get on with their lives. If you do decide to go with this doctor do yourself a favour and had an 'in person' consult before going thru with a procedure. Cheers Rod
  23. Hi Rob, This forum has been around for about 10 years and I can't find out any information about this doctor. I googled her and there are some 'you tube' videos of her but they are in Turkish. It looks like she also does cosmetic surgery apart from hair transplants. If you do research on this forum most people will say that a clinic should do predominately hair transplants and not the other way round. A doctor needs an experienced team to assist them to do a good quality hair transplant. There are many risks associated with hair transplants and price shouldn't be the main consideration, unless you can find a good quality clinic at a good price. I presume she is fairly cheap and this is why your considering her as an option? Doctor Kesser (Turkey) whilst not recommended on this forum, does have some exposure and his prices are relatively inexpensive for FUE. To be honest Transmed would be a better option for you to consider than this doctor imo. At least they have some reviews. Personally, if money isn't a consideration go to one of the top clinics in Europe or USA. Good luck Rod
  24. Hi, I googled her name and it looks like she does various forms of plastic surgery and doesn't concentrate on hair transplant procedures. I'd do a bit more research if I was you. If you don't want to travel too far a few forum members have gone to Doctor Saffi in Poland. Apart from that there are 2 recommended doctors in India who are inexpensive compared to Europe and the US. Good Luck Rod
  25. Hi, By my count your just over 4 months post operation (unless you've made a mistake with the date) and its my understanding that you've only just started because the hair is dormant for 3 - 4 months. The hair initially grows in like baby hair but thickens and matures. Sit back, don't stress and wait for the result to grow in. Good luck Rod
