  1. I too have noticed some tiny hairs growing above the eyebrow and on the cheek bone.its symmetrical..so i dont really think it is due to minoxidil runing down my forehead causing unwanted hairgrowth..Its been 3 months that i have been on minoxidil 5% and finastride 1mg/day.It is due to minoxidil or fin?
  2. Shines, You seem to be a very reserved guy who is not able to express all your concerns in person that well. You didnt during your consultation/procedure and as a result you are not satisfied with your HT.You should have rather accompanied someone along with you.Dr madhu mentioned above that you didnt seem to be a argumentative person to him,so he himself is surprised by the statements you are making here.As Bill said this discussion forum isn't really the best place to hash out miscommunication during a consultation/procedure.
  3. Shines, How many grafts did you get in total?how many in the hairline & how many in the crown.
  4. Shines, Chill dude..have some humour..just kidding
  5. ahem ahem..hair transplant forum seems to be turning into a dating forum for some.. ..lol
  6. Shines, You are saying that Dr.Madhu didn't meet your expectations. But you never mentioned above that what were your expectations. How many grafts did you get?Dr.Madhu has made some valid points. If you wanted to lower your hairline further than you should have just convinced your doctor for that.If you didnt like the hairline which Dr Madhu was giving you than why did you commit yourself for an HT.If you wanted to lower your hairline futher you should have just convinced him,he would have oblidged
  7. Pratik, Your post-op snap looks very neat and clean. Can you just upload some snaps showing your scar. Dr Madhu is a fine surgeon.i guess he is some years behind the top docs. From the results i have seen he just needs to put in some more thought while extracting grafts from the donor area. His results are just too good to be true minus the donor scar
  8. Dr Humayun, Looking at pratik's post op pic how many grafts do you think he has got per sq cm
  9. I dont think i was under any severe stress which triggered my hairloss.Check out this thread http://hair-restoration-info.c...66060861/m/865101705 The active members on this forum told me that i was suffering from male pattern baldness.I didnt take blood tests.I didnt know which ones to take.I felt that there was something else amiss.Iam on fin and minoxidil for the past 2 months. It is still too early to say if i have grown new hairs but it has certainly reversed the miniaturisation to a large extent. As rpachigo said you'd be wasting your money going to a trichologist/dermatologist.All they would say is "you're losing your hair".But i would recommend you still get it examined once.
  10. Salman khan i think had done hair weaving, where fibres are used.It had come in the media as well that salman khan's hair line had started receding again and his overall density too had again reduced.Damn news channels and TRPs!!Now when i see his recent interviews he is again with a head full of thick hair. Its been said that he keeps going to Dubai after every few months to get a touch up as the fibres not accepted by the body for long
  11. By doing hair clonning one can achieve a head full of thick hair but it is a not a permanent solution.the hair begins to fall after some months. It is not accepted by the body Maxy, I read an article where its been said that its coming in 2 yrs in asia
  12. biger_beter, Any history of hairloss in your family? I understand how it feels to loose hair at such an early age.I am 21, started thinning in the crown and hairline started receding some months back.I too thought it was stress related since there was absolutely no history of hairloss in my family. After getting on this forum i got convinced that i was indeed suffering from male pattern baldness.Get on the meds as soon possible. It works.I have noticed some thickening in the crown
  13. Aaron, In the third point you mentioned that you need to sprinkle toppik or nanogen on top and than hair spray it.Now what do u mean by an hair spray?I thought one only needs to sprinkle toppik or nanogen on top to hold the thin hairs together.I have never used a concealer.Gonna buy 1
  14. looking good..How many grafts get you get in the crown area?i too need to cover that much amount of area in the crown
  15. Dr Shapiro is a top doc.it will be a positive outcome.Hope for the best Best wishes
  16. Can somebody else too give me some input.I am thinking to but one and its expensive.I have a head full of thin hair. Can it give me a illusion of good density?
  17. I was about to post this question. From the surgical albums that i have seen from Dr.Humayun and Dr.Madhu from india i too have seen that a large area of the scalp getting covered with less number of grafts.I guess the hair characteristics and hair to scalp color ratio for most of the indian/pakistani people are just ideal for an HT and the head size too isnt that big.I think the patient would be given 2 option. To get their entire scalp covered with average density in 1 procedure or to to have good density in 2 procedures covering the front in the 1st and the crown in the 2nd.The first option would be very tempting for most of the patients who are high in the norwood level. To have the entire scalp covered in one procedure for a gradeV1,many would prefer that.
  18. I have a receded hairline and i have some thinning in the crown as well. When i do a comb over it gets somewhat covered but it looks all very thin.It looks like a head full of thin hair.If i use a concealer will it give me a illusion of really good density?.or is it that its purpose is only to cover the bald scalp with some thin hairs around it
  19. i havnet used any.I have read reviews about dermtach being better than nanogen and toppik
  20. Ashok, How much did Dr.Madhu charge you per graft
  21. i haven't really gone through this thread completely.I don't even know whether its promising. But I wonder why aren't the active members on this forum giving any input on this future treatment.
  22. Thats a horrible transplant.Hard to believe Dr Meshkin has done it.After seeing your post-op pic I am not surprised that u got such a result.2000 grafts being spread out in such a large area!!..shocking!!
  23. Bill, I guess I am just the unluckiest one in the family to be suffering from male pattern baldness.I have been on finastride and minoxidil 5% for the past 2 months.Didnt experience any kind of initial shedding whatsoever. Are the meds working for me? I have read in some threads where its been said that initial shedding gives the sign that the meds are actually working
