  1. Hi Chucky, How do you get Proscar cut into 5ths?
  2. Welcome to the forum Rajai, As Bill said I would consult with a dermatologist to get to the bottom of this first. Then please report your findings here.
  3. Sincere congratulations Bspot, your experience, insight and of course knowledge of each Dr's particular area of strength has helped so many. You are an intrisic part of a solid core of reliable expertise that's hard to come by. We all miss Cousin too of course but between all of us we manage to bring hope and solutions to so many who need our guidance. Onward to the next millenium
  4. Seriously now, it's so cool you have all this options, I like 4 and 5 the best. You have a problem: so many styles, so little time .... Still, I would only do #6 with a Salvador Dali mustache
  5. I agree with Hairbank, you have done a bit of research on this forum which is a good thing. Continue your research by consulting with several coalition or recommended Docs in order to get a complete picture of your situation now with an approximate future projection. Take Finasteride for one good year to see if it stabilizes your loss or even regrows some hairs, take pictures at regular intervals using the same angles and lighting to document your response to Finasteride. As I said above, IMO I would not make a decision on a HT until you are on the meds for one good year.
  6. I hear you NN, it's not just the medical care that's going out of the country, manufacturing, TV and film production, just to name a few. Besides Asia I also hear about Costa Rica all the time, many Americans buy property there and also go there for health care, cosmetic surgery and HT work. I wonder if any members of HTN have heard of any HT Docs in Costa Rica?
  7. I just do not tell anyone. If they suspect anything they almost never ask questions, when they do they are satisfyed by a very simple, basic response, but they never ask, only my hairstylist did and to this day he is still not quite sure ...
  8. I also think 4k FU will give you very nice coverage and density. You are in good hands, I am excited for you.
  9. I am also surprised that you were not taking Finasteride. You have already consulted with very good Docs and it would be interesting for our community to look at your pictures, you'll get a lot of interesting advice.
  10. Bushy, Your hair looks even more dense and thick now. You could easily sell your services as poster boy for HT clinics ...
  11. Congratulations Jersey. No rush, get plenty of rest first and when you have time we'll look forward to your album. Remember now your first priority: PATIENCE
  12. I am not familiar with it. Please give us more details as to your surgeon, clinic, weblink, etc ...
  13. Welcome to the forum, it would be great to know more about pour details, Dr. name, your Norwood level, before, after pictures, cost of surgery and such.
  14. Hello Markymark, It's hard without seeing your pictures. There is almost no picture size limit if you create a photoalbum in the forum. If indeed you are a NW2, as I was, 1000FU will give you coverage but not a density you will be happy with for very long. I went through the exact same experience, had I found this great forum earlier I would have gotten 2200FU the first time around. Check my hair loss weblog and my album, hopefully we have very similar cases and you can benefit from my recent experience.
  15. I think you guys summed up what we have read over the years. It's nice to use and it will give you very subtle benefits and that's it.
  16. I always found it amazing how much I learned from the free consultations. Since you already checked out Bosley and you're close to NY and NJ, you could go see quite a few coalition and recommended Dr in this area. As Bspot said try not to limit your final choice based only on location. You can do online and phone consults with many other clinics too.
  17. Believe me we all understand where you are coming from. I was not fulfilled after my first HT and discovered this forum, it took me one year and a half before I came to commit to doing my second HT. Yes! My second HT. It takes time to research, learn and digest all this stuff, you'd think I was like a veteran with one HT under my belt ... Like my brothers said, don't fuss about anything, enjoy the forum, take your time, only you will know when you're ready and if it feels right or not.
  18. I'm sure you mean rather 5 arms and 3 legs, for all the typing ...
  19. Happy growing then Pat and I'll look forward to your next set of pictures.
  20. Here is a great list of questions to ask during your consultation. Courtesy of NervousNelly Consultation Questions
  21. Hi Folica, I would also venture to say you're between a 5 and a 6 on the Norwood scale, so at least 6k FU's should do the trick, with 7k you'd be set with nice density. If your donor area is up to par and depending on your personal preferences I would try to do it in one pass IMO. I have always been a strong supporter of less surgeries. You already know where to go for such mega sessions, H&W. What is your plan of approach?
  22. Pat, It looked almost unnoticeable the day of surgery, such clean work. Have you had any shockloss by now? Will you post updates soon?
  23. It's really starting to quick in now, great definition in your hairline blending very nicely with the temple shapes, the crown looks very promising even though the thickening will take longer. Considering this is your 3rd HT you seem to have a fast regrowth, at this pace you might reach close to full maturation before 12 months.
