  1. Hi Chucky, i read your post about your results with the choi and that you were told that the choi implanter can damage the folicle on extraction as it pulls it out quite vigorously. As far as i am aware the choi only implants the folicle and has nothing whatsoever to do with the removal process. For those of you that are interested i will post some before and after pictures when a bit more time has lapsed and i can see some results. 1800 grafts 4800 hairs (a little more info)
  2. No new hairs growing yet, not that i can see anyway, but from what i read on this forum i need to wait until at least my 3rd month before i see any signs of growth. A lot of people say that maximum growth occurs after 6 months.
  3. The surgeon that did my HT is Dr. Alex Santo, i was recommended by Andy Hunt who has had 3 HT's by Alex Santo and i saw the results for myself on a one on one consultation these results were so impressive that i made my mind up there and then and booked in for the procedure. Andy Hunt is now the UK contact for the Asanto clinic in Athens Greece and here is his website for anybody that is interested to see. www.headofhair.co.uk http://www.headofhair.co.uk/
  4. Hi, i think the fact that youre even looking at having a transplant means that you need to have one. I started losing my hair at about the age of 28 and was about 30 before i started trying to do something about it. agood friend of mine was also losing his hair and was considerably more thinning than i. i told him about regaine and propecia that i was taking and suggested he should try it, and he was amused that i was even bothering, what i am trying to say is that he was definately not a candidate for a transplant as he was happy and confident with the way that he looked. By the way i also had many people tell me that i looked great with my hair cropped to no2 cut and that it suited me and that i would look strange with hair again. But you know that's crap dont you. I had a transplant done in Jan 2007 and so far i have not regretted a thing, although i am still waiting for the results which i am assured i will get. by the way i am 37 years old now and in about 1 years time i should start looking my age again.
  5. Yes i found that the area was also itchy and did the same as you by patting it gently. I also found that the scabs were coming off and getting stuck in my hair when i gently removed these i found that a lot of them had hairs attatched,( which broke my heart) but i think that was just part of the shock loss that i was told to expect. its been 2 months since the transplant and now i find the scar on the back of my head is quite itchy. Hope this helps.
  6. Hi, i had a strip surgery transplant done (1800 grafts) 8 Jan 2007 in Athens Greece using the choi procedure which basically is a type of hyperdermic needle that injects the hairs into your scalp rather than making small incisions and harvesting. apparently they claim to get the hairs closer together (more density) Im still waiting for the results but im feeling quite positive. I need to have at least 1 more procedure maybe in about 10 months time. I was wondering if anybody else has had the same procedure using the choi technique?
  7. hi, i too have quite a few pimples on my head, its now been 2 months since my transplant of 1800 grafts im hoping that this is normal.
