  1. M&M, I looked at your album and hair log in detail and I am finding some resemblance to my case. First I'll say that you are coming along nicely, I also heard that after several HT's your capillaries may get a bit taxed and take longer. I really think you will continue to see thickening beyond the 12 months mark. Dr. Shapiro is a star and this is a guarantee against any setback. I got about 1300 FU in my hairline and temples to achieve better density as well and I realize that density will come after coverage, from my readings and seeing members pictures, the reality/illusion of coverage is easier to achieve, true density comes in after maturation of growth in most cases. I am 3 weeks post HT now and unless I get lucky, I think I'll have to be patient beyond 12 months to observe the results I was shooting for. No one likes to wait so I remind myself that every month will bring it's bounty of slight improvements and I stay on the forum for support.

  4. Right MM, I did not want to say it but it looks like my first HT ...
  5. Just go for the free consultation and tell us your thoughts.
  6. Hi Sebastian, Can you post pictures and all your details?
  7. Hello Raphael, I replied in your other thread with the photo album before reading this one. You answered some of the questions here.
  8. Thanks for your pictures Rafael, we are looking forward to your details: # of grafts? Name of Dr and clinic? What is your Norwood classification? Cost? How was your experience?
  9. Thanks for asking Ken about this one area Pat, please let me know what you hear either way.
  10. Thanks for this report Pushing 40, my Doc told me to not consume ANY tobacco products in any manner 3 weeks before and 2 weeks after my HT. There is recent proof it inhibits healing, thins the blood, bad for your skin, etc ... Try not to be nervous, we are here to give you all the aerial support you need
  11. I posted on this a few days ago. Generic Propecia is not available in US pharmacies, it could be in other countries but I would not risk it especially now that I take the always reliable generic Proscar and it's so cheap.
  12. Great results Kelly. Pat, is'nt it time for an update on your hair log, it's been about 3 months right?
  13. Thanks for your report Overhair. As Janna said it would be great to have your before and after photos and your stats, age, taking Finasteride/Dutasteride? # on Norwood scale, etc ...
  14. Thank you for being so proactive B spot. Uncle Sam always wears this top hat, I wonder what # he would be on the Norwood scale ...
  15. You can always tell her you blocked a knife attack with the back of your head Sorry, I could not resist. I've had a similar situation, if she says nothing, you say nothing, if she mentions it and your scar matches the rest in skin tone you can say it's an old scar from an accident, the slight pink tone of your recipient area can be explained in many ways as in a reaction to a new shampoo, etc ... As you can see I am also into total undetection.

  17. The best way to tell the good from the bad is research, and more research .... You'll find all the answers on this site, the coalition and recommended Docs are the safe way to go. You can rely on members past experiences to choose your surgeon, check the weblogs, a woman had a good experience recently and she posted there but she is only one voice, so we need to further evaluate the Doc she went to. Take your time before you make your decision.
  18. Yes you do. Try to get a sript for generic Proscar it's the cheapest way to go. You take 1/4 pill a day.
  19. I understand Rogaine works only on the vertex (crown) area, the patients for whom it works gets to maintain some hair and can experience a regrowth of very fine hair. Very few patients see a benefit in the frontal/temple area. I take only Finasteride and I never tried Rogaine because three of my friends told me it did next to nothing for them. After becoming a member of this forum I found out that a lot of people use it with Finasteride, IMO I don't think Rogaine does much more than regrow very fine hair only in your crown area.
  20. can't wait to see them, your density and coverage were already very good after the first HT
  21. Finasteride will help you the most, if you have some crown thinning Rogaine will help a little but only in the crown not really in the fontal hairline or temples. Yes you can use both together.
  22. Welcome to the forum annsview, Ziering medical is what we call here a hairmill, like Bosley and others. I consulted with them in the LA area and I can confirm it. You might get a good result from them but you might not. Don't take a channce and go to the coalition or recommended Docs. The average going price is $4 to 5.00 per FU graft. I strongly recommend you do more research before you make a decision, read my new member reco below: - Take pictures of you hair, top, front, back and sides and post them here in the photo album section, you'll get a lot of expert advice. 23. I just looked at your weblog thanks. I noticed Pat made a comment about your temples, let's wait and see what they say. My gut feeling is that you may just have a slow regrowth we have seen quite a few here, you went to a good Dr.
