  1. wow, great results. The fue into the scar, hides it well!! Dr. Jones did a nice job.
  2. hugh, DAMN!! You have come a long ways!! Thanks for updating us!! Looking awesome man!!
  3. Bill, forget the search option.. Just ask gillenator, he just cracked my nut shell wide open.. GREAT POST GILL!!!
  4. Bill, "FUE" is Follicular Unit Extraction. It is the process of removing a single graft at a time from area's of the head and body (BHT). This is done without harvesting a donor strip to extract grafts under a microscope. This is a newer technique that is being strongly looked at, as well scrutinized, and is still in it's early stages of a procedure type. You can search Follicular Unit Extraction on this site or google to learn all about it.
  5. he definitely does have the appearance of more hair.

  8. Robert, looks good man.. You have a ton more to go!! can't wait to see 6 months! Hey Brando, where are your updates!!
  9. Bill, you look to be in fine shape. You're going to be fine!
  10. good call beerman, I found these photos on a site.. Hair tattooing into the crown. Sry, not the donor scar. This is a before and after on tattooing.. I do however question the lighting. But is still pretty cool.
  11. Bill, don't second guess your decision. You will be able to tell a noticable differance. Should you be worried that your head is going back to normal. No!! Everything is on course. You are on the "rollercoaster" ride, that most people go through. Don't worry!! Sit back and relax. You have, possibly to the 3 month mark, before you may see any differance.
  12. sweetlittle, I responded in you original thread.
  13. sweetlittle, It all takes time. I read you received 2500 grafts. 1200 front, 1300 mid. Was this FUE, or strip? Strip can take anywhere from 3-6 months to start taking notice to results. Then 6-12 months to see the full yield. FUE, generally takes longer. Add about 2 months onto each of those time frames. Sometimes, possibly upto 1 1/2 years, on an extreme. You look like you are in fine shape. Just relax, it can be a tough ride!
  14. NA, some people opt for a thinner look to get the best coverage possible. It all depends on the amount of area that needs coverage, vs. the amount of grafts being dispersed. Many people prefer to have light coverage vs. a bald or badly thinned spot. This gentlemen, has excellent coverage, though not great density. Everyone's expectations and goals are different. You can't get a full looking head of hair all the time from a HT.
  15. "what is MSM" "about shockloss" "the waiting game" "how wide is the average strip scar" "differance between minox and finest" "proscar and propecia" "after care topics" "staples vers. sultures" and "why is the sky blue"
  16. Bill, I guess you can really never be too careful, but it should be safe to start shampooing normally now. You are pretty much at two weeks, and it really only takes about 4 days for the grafts to set. Look at it this way. If your donor area is healed enough to have the sulture's removed, then those tiny graft incisions are healed up as well. Start welcoming a little normalsy back to your daily routine.
  17. justin, that is a big improvement, and you should wear it with pride!! Good to hear!
  18. there are quite a few people that do this. Look into doing FUE. And find a qualified and experianced Dr. who has experiance in doing scar repair with FUE. Good Luck
  19. looks to be healing up nicely. You really didn't get much redness did you?
  20. lol.. Big1! True enough, but with the 15 years of hell he went through, maybe with his miracle, he is focused on moving forward!! I think we all can agree he deserves it. I do hope he posts some updates!
  21. jimmy, great to hear you are doing well!! I know about the lack of forsight in before pictures.. Who get's excited about posting the past?! How about some recent pics.? And who did your work? Glad to hear you are happy with your early journey! Best Of Luck!
  22. ok.. I gotcha!! There is one thing that I feel, really should be brought to attention. Yes, it is very important to aggressively attack, but only what you could be happy with. I don't feel that an agression torwards an average hairline only, is always the best approach if you are taking into consideration the best offense in one session. But do agree with including the crown, and mid top. I think Fellar posted it best with his photo of Tommy Lee Jones. He has not had a HT to my knowledge. His hairline is distinguished and acceptable. And is very receded. I think the coverage of hair behind draws the attention away. Robert, I understand what you are saying, just felt like I should also say it from my point of view. Thanks
  23. Robert, "However, if the hairline is placed too far back and still looks very receded, it depletes the point of getting the hair transplant in the first place." Do you mean this torwards someone in there before 40'? If this person was in there 30's and at a NW6, would they not benefiet from a recessed looking hairline? I think they would. Just not sure of your posts statement.
  24. that's a question that is hard to answer. It would depend on the size of the scar. The ideal scar would be between .5mm and 1mm. The redness should be gone at 10 months, so I would say now would be ok. If you'd like, post some photo's of your scar and we can give you our thoughts.
  25. at 10 months, I think you can do pretty much whatever you want with your hair. BLOW AWAY!!
