Propecia vs Proscar

I use to take Propecia on and off for 4 years but no longer take it. I was getting some side affects but it didn't stop me from having sex. I was also concerned of the long term effects Propecia might have. I have been paying more attention to Proscar and like the idea only taking it on a M-W-F schedule that I saw somewhere in here.

 

How many times would I have to cut the Proscar pill for M-W-F?

 

I know Proscar is cheaper than Propecia how much is Proscar?

 

On a M-W-F schedule will that be less of a chance to get side effects?

 

Do Doctors recommend cutting Proscar who came up with this?

Proscar costs about $80 for a 4 month supply, assuming you are taking 1/4 pill (approximately 1.25mg of finasteride) daily.

 

Proscar is a 5mg pill of finasteride. How much finasteride you want to take and how frequently will ultimately decide on how many times you want to cut it.

 

Taking less than 1mg of finasteride a day may help minimize side effects. Many doctors feel taking less is still effective in treating hair loss.

my motto is take it like a man or don't take it at all. i also think that my motto applies to majority in here so that's why you are not getting too much feedback.

You need to take finasteride daily, as it only has a 6 hour half-life. Cut proscar into 1/4 tabs. Taking 5 mg. at one time doesn't show more benefit vs. 1mg. Avodart can be taken once every several days due to the 6 month half-life. Hope this helps bro.
