Moderators Al - Moderator Posted April 26 Moderators Share Posted April 26 You usually have to stay on meds at least a few months before starting to see results so don’t give up on them too soon. It could take 6 months or more to see an improvement. 1 Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Senior Member gillenator Posted April 26 Senior Member Share Posted April 26 Your donor area looks like there is some thinning as well so I strongly recommend that you have that area microscopically evaluated after waiting to see how you respond on the meds. Senior Member gillenator Posted May 3 Senior Member Share Posted May 3 Each and every clinic will have the proper equipment (including scopes) to perform and provide a microscopic examination of your scalp…if they tell you that they do not provide this, definitely move on to someone else…if it were me, I would insist on this being performed and included in my in-person consultation…the only variable is that some doctors/clinics may want to charge a separate fee for this microscopic examination. 1 Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic.
