Senior Member Westview Posted February 9 Senior Member Share Posted February 9 I heard Dr. Bernstein is (or was) one of the best, but I dont know if thats still true since it looks like he's moved on to Artas: https://www.bernsteinmedical.com/ Â Â
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted February 9 Moderators Share Posted February 9 I wouldn't go to Bosley. It's a hair transplant chain. My feeling is they get inexperienced Drs or Drs who aren't the best at doing HTs. The reason I think that is because in almost all cases if a Dr is good at doing HTs he wouldn't stay with a large chain. He'd be better off going on his own or partnering up with another well known HT Dr. Anyway that's just what I think. I don't know any well know HT Drs working for Bosley.  If you want to stay in NYC There is Dr Carlos Wesley at 1050 Fifth Ave If you are willing to travel just a bit outside of NYC, you have 1. Dr Blake Bloxham at Feller and Bloxham Medical in Great Neck, NY 2. Dr Robert Dorin in Garden City, NY  1 Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Regular Member JoeD Posted February 9 Regular Member Share Posted February 9 I can’t vouch personally for the others, but I’ve been very happy with my 2 FUT procedures with Dr. Bloxham. I have over 7k grafts, full coverage. I’ve seen a few scattered sub-par outcomes on here/reddit over the years but by and large overall very positive.

It is not wise to look for a surgeon based on their location, because it will eliminate all other good options you have available to you. As there can be good doctors in NYC / USA, and even in other parts of the world, it makes sense to look for a good surgeon regardless of your location preferences, which gives you a wide range of options. The most important part of the whole process is your surgeon and you are doing yourself no good by limiting your choices for that. Consider prioritizing the quality of the surgeon over location preferences to access a wider range of expertise. I hope this helps you..Best of luck. solution7
Man, you are in the right place to find a quality surgeon. Please do your research. Generally speaking, independent surgeon offices offer the best results, but of course, you still need to find a surgeon with a good reputation. You can probably read this a 1000 times on the net, but it's true, hair surgery is not something you want to go "bargain hunting" for. If a close friend of mine asked, I would generally tell them to avoid chain clinics and find a vetted clinic on an open discussion forum.
