Hello everyone!

A little bit about myself. Currently 33 years old. Previously had 3000 grafts FUT completed 11 years ago. Happy with the previous procedure, it’s held me over for 10 years 🤷‍♂️. Have been on finasteride for 12 years.

It got to the point where it was difficult to conceal my hair loss, so knew it was time to get another procedure.

Thanks to this forum, Dr. Nader was very high on my “wish list.” I reached out to him at the beginning of January of this year. He responded to me within a couple days, estimating I needed 2000-2500 grafts. I immediately booked the procedure for November.

Minus the constant bad luck of delayed flights, the entire trip went super smoothly. Everything previously said about Dr. Nader on this forum is the honest truth. Absolute wonderful caring person. You can’t find someone more ethical and compassionate.

After his assessment, he determined I needed 2000 grafts. Final result was 2009. He was happy that approximately 10% of my grafts were 4 hair follicles, hopefully that translates well.

Attached are some pictures before the procedure, 1 picture from day 1, and some pictures at day 3 after my 1st wash.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

1 week post.

Nothing noteworthy in the 1st week. Ended up catching a good cold, so hopefully my coughing didn’t dislodge anything.

Redness and inflammation in my donor area has improved. I have super sensitive skin, so I assumed it was going to be a little more inflamed than average.

In the next couple days I’m going to really work on getting rid of the remains scabs, anyone have hints on that?

I just kept my head under the shower head for about 30 minutes until the scabs became soft. Then I took a conditioner and put it on and left it for another 30 minutes, staying in the shower to keep the moisture on the scabs.

Some guys will put the conditioner on first and then hop in the shower.

Once they’re nice and soft just start pulling them down gently with the tips of your fingers. It took me 2 good tries to get everything off.

You’re just a week behind my second transplant. I had an FUT on 11/1 but I’m a big fan of Dr Nader. Looking forward to seeing you at 12 months!

Happy growing!!

Follow Naders instructions on post care and scab removal. It worked perfectly for me though I shaved my head. Use the bucket of water, soap and gently massage with your fingertips. The 5-5-5 rule works great. Don't force any scab removals....they will come out within a week

I think it looks great! Did the doctor only insert between your existing hairline or did he bring it down a little? The shape of your hairline really suits your forehead.

Your strip healed beautifully from your first procedure. Who performed it, if you don’t mind me asking? It’s held on quite well 11 years on.

Thanks! Dr. Nader inserted between the existing hairs in the middle, and brought the sides down slightly.

Dr. Cam Simmons performed the FUT in Toronto in 2012.

Happy growing the work looks nice. Why you didn’t shave your recipient area ? Was it your choice ?

I was good either way, I didn’t care. I told him to do whatever he wanted. Dr Nader said he was able to leave the recipient area to help me conceal the area.

Nader does great work and this looks excellent. In a couple of years, I'm going to need a touch-up.

Solid progress!!

Hairline looks very natural and that frontal third just behind the hairline is starting to really thicken up!

And so much time left to see further improvement!! 🔥🔥

Hey man, I have an appointment with Nader next month and my hair loss is similar to yours in the front and mid scalp (diffuse/receding hairline). I can't message you for some reason but I have a couple questions:

1. How was the drive crossing border into Mexico and on the way back to the US? I went on google maps and the area of the clinic looks a little bit run down/sketchy lol.

2. I am also planning on doing a partially shaved FUE on the frontal area/hairline. Did Dr. Nader say anything regarding the effectiveness/results of keeping the recipient area unshaved?

3. He recommended me 2000-2500 grafts. At 40FU/cm2 density, I'm not sure that 2000 grafts would provide me with my desired look. Did you have any concerns regarding density?

4. When were you able to take the band-aid off your head? Did he provide you with anything to wear on your head?

Thanks!

1. I was definitely nervous about the drive and the location. It turned out to be fine. It’s only a couple minutes past the border, before you know it you’ll be there. Dr. Nader’s calm and relaxed demeanour puts everything to ease.

2. He didn’t mention anything about the effectiveness of unshaven. He just asked if I wanted to leave the recipient long, I told him I didn’t care either way, I just wanted the best end result. He said in my case, it wouldn’t change anything.

3. I did not have any concerns of the density, I let him decide everything. I guess I’ll find out after 1 year if the density is adequate 🤷‍♂️.

4. He gives you a blue surgical cap post op. I believe you can take it off the following day. I wore a very loose beanie in the airport.

Good luck!

Thanks for the response! Yeah Brenda just emailed me and said his density for hairline is at 45FU/cm2 - 50FU/cm2 so should be good haha. I look forward to seeing your progress!
