Request for suggestions on good quality HT Clinics in Turkey

Dear Forum members,

I recently came across this forum and found some excellent discussions. Am a Norwood 6 on Balding and have been considering/researching clinics in Turkey for my HT. I live in Switzerland and have looked at two clinics here. Surprisingly now a days they are getting Turkish doctors as visitors here and trying to offer competitive packages. Though Swiss quality is unquestionable , I feel the experience of doctors in Turkey is obviously much more!!but need to find the right clinic. My 1st criteria has been finding a plastic surgeon who can open the channels or be involved maximum in the procedure. Second would be a dermatologist trained in HT. Most clinics do not even want to talk about the qualifications of the doctor who would actually be doing your procedure. They are Hair mills according to me. I have looked at multiple clinics and found Capital Hair center (Dr Ekrem Keskin) and AEK (Dr. Ali Karadeniz) are the ONLY ones from my list which had a plastic surgeon trained in US. Can anyone give me a feedback on these two clinics or surgeons ? Also one point on costs. ASMED and Dr. Bicer on an average cost double or even 3 times the cost of these clinics with trained plastic surgeons. Am a little confused why would it be that way ?

Turkey because with number of patients the doctors have been handling there is astounding ! think experience and innovation is better. I live in Switzerland and generally not much information is available on the transplants here and reviews . Not to mention the costs are much higher compared to similar jobs in Turkey. Many Swiss go to Turkey for the procedure.

Be very careful when choosing a clinic to get what I would consider to be the most profound and dramatic change you can make on yourself aesthetically.

There are some great doctors in Turkey, but you have to cut thru all the marketing hype and BS and get down to who is real and who's not. Bottom line, it's a crap shoot when you get a procedure done in Turkey. Even reputable doctors have high turnover rates with their techs which many times leads to bad outcomes as a result of the inconsistency with the procedures. The hair transplant industry is too crazy out in Turkey to ever fully trust the outcome.

You would have some great options in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, India, and others where the industry is a much less corrupted and you have tried and tested methods that produce much more consistent results that are in the world class category.

Again you might be fine if you go to Turkey, but we see many many client that come from Turkey with poor results and lost donor. Have you considered any other countries?

Thanks for your reply. I have not considered any other country but am Open to the options. I have a large area to cover so my budget for the 1st procedure is around 5k to 6K USD. Assuming it would cost another 5K for second one . SO not sure if other countries in Europe will fit my budget. But please suggest any options and I will start my research.

Any body can be trained as a HT specialist. But HT is a surgery and in medical schools in many countries after doing an MD only those specializing in Plastic surgery are allowed to do a cosmetic surgery like HT. The other exception is dermatologists who undergo surgical training. In Turkey I see any MD can do transplant which is a big red flag in most other developed nations and also in India.

Here's my 2 cents, be aware that in Turkey, you have clinics with allegedly so called declared "doctors" that doesn't have a real MD certificates just a local Turkish draft, even if they preform the surgical parts, in Turkey you have some MD doctors that preform the surgery but don't except them to charge hair mills price.

For instance you can open tomorrow a clinic in Turkey and call your Dr. Poorswiss and no one will enforce on you any federal laws, most the clinics don't have MDs and not following professional FUE protocol and I am talking as someone who got botched by Arenamed clinic in Turkey Istanbul, thankfully I had 2 repairs since then.
