Regular Member Cortami Posted September 30, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted September 30, 2022 Hey guys, Yesterday I finally went for my first - and hopefully only - HT. A few months ago I went to a consult with Fuegenix, after seeing some great results on other forums he caught my attention. The intake interview was straight to the point and convinced me to go for treatment later this year. I haven't been to others as Munib convinced me with his plan to restore my temples. I did my research though. I didn't want to travel and my feeling was that I needed someone that is personally involved with preparation - treatment - aftercare. Munib is going for quality over quantity, which is really important to me. Only one HT per day, with a maximum of 4 a week. I wasn't looking for as much grafts as possible, but the proper density. I want to enjoy the results for decades instead of a few years.. So, yesterday was the treatment and underneath is a small story of my day: The biggest difference I noted at the intake is that every graft will be sorted and carefully placed at the proper location of my receiving area. Munib does this personally and with care. The surgery was planned at 7:15, which was quite early. I booked a hotel 500m from the clinic and had a proper breakfast. Munib was already there when I arrived. First thing he does is making sure we agree with the hairline. He explained me (just like the intake in March) how and why he draws the hairline. The idea was that we both agreed that it looks natural for the years to come. Then he made sure I was comfortably laying to make the first punctures. My donor area was numb in 30-60 seconds. Luckily, because it's the most painful thing of the surgery lol. Meanwhile his assistant arrived. She carefully sorted my grafts for Munib. After like 1,5 hours they had enough to fill my receiving area. We had a break for 20 minutes and then (after making my receiving area numb and preparing it for the transplant) they both carefully placed the grafts in my temples. Munib diligently went for the finish in touch and checked my hairs carefully.. and it was finished earlier then I expected 1500 grafts. Now we will wait for a few months to see what results it will bring. I have made some pictures of the day of treatment and day 1 afterwards. If you guys would like to know more, then i'll try to update each month. Oh and yes; the aftercare is really good. I can contact him 24/7 via Whatsapp or call him with any issues. He already asked multiple times to send me pictures and will do so for the upcoming few weeks.
Senior Member Vann Posted September 30, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted September 30, 2022 Wow, those 1500 grafts will take you a long way. If you dont mind sharing could you show some of the graft counts (single, double, etc.)? Also some demographic info. like age and if youre on medication? Regular Member baldbandito Posted September 30, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted September 30, 2022 ‘Hopefully only transplant’ - famous last words! Hah. Na, just teasing. Are you on medication? You’re really smart opting for a small procedure with a quality clinic for your first surgery. Looking forward to following your progress.
Regular Member Cortami Posted September 30, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 30, 2022 Hey guys, If I remember correctly I had 230 single grafts, they were carefully placed at the front to make the flow more natural. The double and triple grafts are probably evenly split. The Dr. told me to buy Essengen-6 plus (MinoxidilMax) and use it from now on. My crown is still great so he wants to protect that area. I haven't used other medication in the past. I am not really a guy to use medicines so I have to see how this goes with side effects. I am at the end of my 20s. I have a big donor area, so we would be safe for future procedures, but as I said I hope to keep it with 1 surgery only.. we will see. Time will tell

It seems kind of backwards you’re willing to have surgery but not take medication to prevent the surgery for as long as possible… I think you should consult your surgeon and perhaps a derm about long term care for androgenic alopecia. Nonetheless best of luck to you and happy growing! Follow my first hair transplant journey 3,252 Grafts a minimum of 6,712 hairs June 2022

The Dr adviced to take medication from now on and that I should have taken those before.

Regular Member Cortami Posted November 11, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2022 Went to the hairdresser two weeks ago (day 30). She was surprised by the recovery of my donor area, which I’m really satisfied with too. I’ll ask her to take pictures of that too when she’s done with it next week. Again, my apologies for the late reply.

Regular Member Cortami Posted April 15, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 15, 2023 Hi guys, after 6,5 months. Have to say i’m happy with the conservative approach. I feel a lot better mentally as well. Never been depressive, but if you’re considering doing a HT and you do your research; go for it.
