Hello, if I were to travel from Australia over to Belgium for a hair transplant, how exactly do I pay for what is a large sum of money?

How exactly does it work, peoples experience in different countries is welcome

Thank you.

The easiest way is to bring cash, though, not everyone is comfortable with that. You might be able to wire the money beforehand as well or pay by CC.

I used VISA - no issue. Could have saved $100 ish if I had converted cash but didn’t feel comfortable travelling with such a large sum so was happy to pay for the convenience. I’ve heard WISE.com offer the best FX rates if you were considering a  wire transfer

Agree with above that it is best to talk to your clinic. I ended up using a combination of wise.com and CC.

The issue with cash in my opinion are: 1)  many countries will ask you to declare if you are carrying more than a certain amount of cash at customs. I try to make my transit through customs as quick as possible. 2) theft of cash 3) conversion rates that your clinic will use may not be the best

Again your clinic likely handles this question all the time. Ask them for the best method.
