Danie96
So after following the network for some time I’ve bitten the bullet and taken the decision to book a hair transplant. At 26 and with around a nw 3 hairline it has really affected my confidence. I’ve now booked the exclusive package for 2.5k grafts with Eugenix based on the experiences discussed on here in the hope of generating a natural hairline. I’m due to travel in September and the clinic have requested a series of blood tests ahead of travel. Does anyone have any experience of having these done in the UK before travelling. It’s soemthing I’ve struggled to find any more information on or find out how to get it arranged? I’m also curious to know how long it took people to get a visa for medical travel. Any advice in advance would be much appreciated. TIA. Dan
Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted July 13, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2022 Are these just like normal blood tests testing for cholesterol and what have you? Or what kind of tests do they need? Beyond a COVID test, I'm unaware of clinics mandating any other type of medical tests.

It seems a bit in depth but I’m not entirely sure as I’ve never had bloods done before. Here’s what is states in the email: *You shall have to get your blood pressure checked and send us the report.*You shall be required to perform certain blood investigations: Hb, Platelets, TLC, DLC, HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin), HBsAg, Anti-HCV, HIV 1&2, RBS (Random Blood Sugar), PT (Prothrombin time)

I'm actually a bit concerned if you haven't gotten a standard blood test before lol. Contact your primary care physician or local urgent care clinic. I'm 99% positive either places can do all of the above.

Senior Member Bandit90 Posted July 14, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted July 14, 2022 Hey, I tried to get mine done by my GP but they refused and said I would need to do it privately. Quotes were like £400 to do the tests, so I just opted to arrive in India a couple of days earlier and have the tests with the clinic (cost like £30). I think @NARMAK was lucky and managed to get this GP to do all the blood work.

Sadly changing my flights might actually cost me a fair bit due to price changes. Will approach it with my GP first and see how I get on. Out of curiosity did your GP direct you to the private clinics or did you just find them online? Conscious of doing a random Google search for a blood test clinic. Danie96
Hi all, thanks for the support on this one. Just an update - I’ve managed to sort the blood tests via my GP who has done them privately 👍 Now just my visa to sort ahead of the trip in September.
