Most Meticulous Doctors During Consultation

I have a pretty challenging case in that I’m a young extremely aggressive balder with potential retrograde and DUPA. I was wondering which doctors had an extremely thorough consultation, just to get an idea of what they think. I know Zarev for example has a multi hour consultation where he examines your scalp in extreme depth.

You can have a consult with our doctors too if you would like.

Imo, from the few doctors i've seen. Dr Zarev is probably the most meticulous in his pre-HT planning with numbers, measurements etc. but Dr Bisanga is probably the most well know mainstream doctor that seems to use a lot of the tools to measure and plan too.

@Fox243,

I can’t speak for other doctors but I know Dr. Rahal is very thorough and evaluating patients.   At the end of the day, he will give it to you straight and let you know right up front if he feels you’re a candidate for hair transplant surgery and why. The truth is, not everybody is a candidate depending on the circumstances. For example, if you have extensive miniaturization on the sides and back of the scalp, you are very likely not a candidate for surgery.  Allow me to take a minute to explain why.

Hair transplant surgery works on a principal known as donor dominance. This essentially means that hair taken from the donor area (in most cases this would be the hair on the sides and back of the scalp) Will retain its properties even when moved to another part of the scalp or body.

For men with androgenetic alopecia a.k.a. genetic baldness, hair on the sides and back of the scalp are typically DHT resistant.  Because of donor dominance, these hairs will remain DHT resistant even when  moving them to the balding areas on top of the scalp.  This is why you may continue to lose natural hair that’s still remains on top of the scalp by the transplant hair will be as permanent as the hair on the sides and back of your head.

This is why you may continue to lose natural hair that still remains on top of the scalp but the transplant hair will be as permanent as the hair on the sides and back of your head.

Now men or women with diffuse unpatterned alopecia aka DUPA often experience miniaturization and hair thinning on the sides and back of the scalp which means that these hairs are no longer “safe“ for transplanting. Because if they are miniaturizing and thinning on the sides and back of the scalp, they will do the same thing once they are transplanted.

Now in some cases, men with DUPA May be a candidate for body hair transplantation depending on hair caliber, density, etc.  Of course, body hair is typically better used as fill her hair and if you have a large area of bonus on top of the scout to Phil, Body here may not be the best option.

Now, Dr. Rahal Will thoroughly evaluate your scalp and determine the best course of action for you. If there is miniaturezation throughout your entire scout, you are likely not going to be accounted for surgery. But at this point, it sounds like you could use a real professional opinion on what’s really going on with your scalp and hair.

After all, there are some instances where even men with DUPA and/or miniaturization of the hair on the sides and back of the scalp can we candidates for hair transplant surgery.  allow me to explain briefly.

in some cases, there is a reason why hair on the sides and back of the scalp, typically used for donor hair is miniaturizing.  For example, if it’s discovered that you have hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism or low ferritin levels for instance, treating the condition may in fact reverse the miniaturization process of the hair on the signs back the scalp, making them terminal again.

Thus, if a treatable condition is found that will reverse any miniaturization of the donor hair, once treatment reverses the miniaturization process, you would actually become a candidate for hair transplant surgery.

So a scalp evaluation may lead to a more thorough medical examination. And if a treatable condition is found and then treated, you may ultimately become a candidate for hair transplant surgery even if it’s determined you aren’t one in the beginning.

Long story short, it’s always good to be thorough. At this point, it sounds like you’re unsure if you have DUPA but if you do, that doesn’t necessarily rule you out for surgery depending on what’s causing it and if it can be treated and reversed.

So if you’re interested in a one on one session with Dr. Rachel, please send me a private message and I’ll be happy to get things set up for you.

All the best,

Rahal Hair Transplant

My first advice is to find a surgeon that is involved in all/most steps and sticks to one patient per day. In that scenario, all attention will be on you for the day. This includes consultation and planning.

You cant go wrong with names like konior, nadimi, bisanga, pinto, couto, pittella.

I was one of the ones who posted that Zarev goes in great depth during his consults. I had a unique case so that is why he spent more time with me. I don't want to set improper expectations for his consults. They may be shorter for other people. But yes, you will leave there feeling very confident about his abilities and his plan for your case.
