Can you use the Hairmax Lasercomb after Surgery?

I have had a HT about 3 weeks ago and wanted to know if you can use the Hairmax Lasercomb after Surgery?

 

Does it help?

 

Any effects or side effects?

 

Does it damage the transplanted hair or grafts?

 

Has anyone ever used the lasercomb after surgery? wanted someone to comment on there results if they have used this product.

Dr. cooley used the lasercomb on me the day after the surgery. But i don't really think it does anything (good or bad).

Immediately after surgery, transplanted hair follicles are susceptible to UV radiation. At 3 weeks I think they should be fine, although some recommendation is to protect the scalp from radiation of a month.

Well I have never used a lasercomb but was thinking of investing in one, but wanted a true opion of someone that has used one before and got some good results, I have seen much about it on the web but dont know if they are paid adverts, so i thought i ask someone here.

1.Would you contact Dr. Cooley to find out the benefits and tell us please?

 

2.A few minutes of any type of high energy (short wavelength) radiation can be harmful....not that this instance was harmful.

I used the lasercomb prior to my HT. Can't say that it grew hair, but it seem to give me the appearance of fuller hair when I used it. I liked what it did for my hair. I stopped using it several weeks prior to my HT and have not gone back on it yet. Will, however, at some point.

 

No side effects.

One more thing before you go on to laser combs, as new2thissite said it gives you a better look and feel. But It has a limitation and like any medicine it might not work on some one.

So what I say is , if you can afford to loose US$ 300 once in a life time than its worth it.

There are few small pilot studies showing that it can improve, but limited improvement.

I think Doctor what I will do is try it but give the HT you did at least another 30 days before applying any external form of treatment etc, Doctor one more question it has been like 25 days now since the HT can I start using hairspray again to style the hair?

The laser comb is only FDA approved for SAFETY, not because it works! There is no proof it works.

The lasercomb is very overpriced and takes much too long to use it to see any results. It is all about how many Joules are delivered to the scalp and the lasercomb is pitifully underpowered. I have had a LaserMax for 2 weeks and I don't expect to generate new hair growth, but I have heard quite a few testimonials that it does improve the quality of your hair. The LaserMax treatment is 20 minutes every other day. You would spend hours a day with the lasercomb for the same delivery and you would have very sore arms.
