Regular Member Timd922 Posted September 11, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 11, 2021 Sebamed, the shampoo the clinic gave to use. Still have about 1/4 of it left.
Senior Member Britanium Posted September 11, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2021 You could switch out to your usual shampoo and see if that helps.
Regular Member Timd922 Posted September 11, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 11, 2021 Okay ya I’ll try that thank you. Not a huge issue, just something I noticed recently and wasn’t sure usually when they suggest you can use other shampoos post op.
Senior Member JohnCasper Posted September 14, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 14, 2021 Three weeks out...you should be fine using your own shampoo. You will also notice pimples popping up occasionally. This is expected and try not to "mess" with them. Just let them take care of themselves unless you get a difficult one that occasionally could get infected. Senior Member pkipling Posted September 14, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 14, 2021 I experienced this too, and it definitely subsided with time. I imagine it had to do with increased dryness of the scalp post-surgery, but it eventually resolved itself. If you ever have future outbreaks, Nizoral really comes in handy btw. Hopefully you won't have to deal with it anymore though. 1 I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. Senior Member Gokuhairline Posted September 27, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 27, 2021 i had this issue as well and started using nizoral 3x week and my normal shampoo and conditioner and the other days and it seems to have helped and lessened the dandruff/itch.
