Why can I no longer edit my own posts?

Wasn’t really sure where to post this. I started a thread here:

I was able to edit several of my posts, including the first one, after I made them. Now I’d like to go back and edit the first post, but it won’t let me. Any idea why?

I noticed that before too. There seems to be a time limit after which you can no longer edit your posts.

After 7 days you are no longer able to edit posts. You can always reach out to me and I can edit them for you.

Ok cool, thanks. And thank you for editing my post where I tagged you and asked you to. Much appreciated.
