Senior Member DenverBuff1989 Posted November 7, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 7, 2020 Hi all, Wondering when its ok again to start smoking weed post-FUE? I am currently 17 days out. I don't believe weed has any affect at all on the recipient hair growing (correct me if I'm wrong), but my concern/question lies in weed impact on the direct recovery post-FUE - will it affect my scabs, scalp, any other healing? I had a previous HT last yr and all the recipient hair grew in well and I smoked regularly - my mind is just hazy when I started smoking again :). The issue is just that not enough grafts were used. Thanks!
Senior Member Kruchie Posted December 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 8, 2020 I smoked it (heavily) 2 weeks after my op and had no issues. I have recently quit though, due to other reasons.

Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted December 9, 2020 Valued Contributor Share Posted December 9, 2020 As gillenator stated, it's not the THC in dope, it's the fact that you are smoking and the effects that that has. If you are going through all the effort of undergoing a hair transplant (including the cost of it) you want to give your grafts every possibility of the best outcome that you can achieve.
