Senior Member Westview Posted October 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted October 19, 2020 (edited) So right after grafts have been implanted on your scalp, do those hairs keep growing or do they stop?? And I know newly transplanted hairs shed after 3 weeks or so, but I'm talking about the initial 3-week time period after they've just been transplanted Edited October 19, 2020 by Westview
Senior Member 1978matt Posted October 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted October 19, 2020 I had a few that kept growing, but it really was a few hundred at most (10%). Initial growth is mostly the existing hair being shed and working its way out, which can take up to month. 1 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

All my new transplanted stubbles seem to just be sitting there on my scalp, but hardly growing at all. Its hard to tell of course with all the scabs around them

Senior Member jimcraig152 Posted October 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted October 19, 2020 My grafts grew for a good 2-3 weeks, then most fell out. Here is the progression of my graft fallout followed by a rebound from the ugly duckling phase (now just under 3 months): https://content.invisioncic.com/o278943/monthly_2020_10/Comparison.jpg.c8d292cb2b9b673c367f073057d35d17.jpg For some folks, it never falls out. This recent example seems to be such a case: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/58033-regretting-hair-transplant-as-25-years-old/?tab=comments#comment-558683
