Senior Member mrkneed Posted September 30, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 30, 2020 Has anyone decided to stop coloring and just go naturally gray? If so does it make thinning areas really stand out? Thanks My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Keene
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted September 30, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 30, 2020 Everyone always says gray hair hides the thinning better if you have light skin since there is less contrast, but I always see the opposite on myself. When I let my hair start getting too much gray I look much more bald. Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Senior Member mrkneed Posted September 30, 2020 Author Senior Member Share Posted September 30, 2020 Do you color totally or blend? Do you use hair fibers? Thanks My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Keene
Senior Member LaserCap Posted September 30, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 30, 2020 I admit it, I color too. It is true, we want to look younger, (and the spouse does too). But there does come a time when you are just too old and the "paint" starts looking funny. At that point you start looking like a caricature. So you can start showing a bit of gray on the sides. A mark of "distinction" they call it. Yes, I guess that's appropriate. When it comes to white hair, it does help with the contrast issue and does help. It almost seems as if you have more. At a certain age, and this will depend on many factors, it is truly a balance between youthfulness and hair density. I would encourage you to go to a professional. Get ready to spend the big bucks. $100 is not unheard of for color and cut. But you'll look good for a month? Post then.
