Senior Member Anonymous Posted August 21, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 21, 2018 Aside from massaging the scalp, Are there any supplements, topicals, etc that help improve blood circulation throughout the scalp ? Regimen: 5% Minoxidil twice a day (morning and night) on front hairline, Proscar (broken into 5 pieces) one piece every night. MSM 1000 Mg, Zinc 30 Mg, Vitamin E, Multi-Vitamin. Senior Member Speegs Posted August 21, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 21, 2018 Stay hydrated, don't use blood thinners in the weeks after surgery. I suppose using organic blood cleansing nutrients in your diet wouldn't hurt, consuming things such as garlic. There's no magic bullet out there to amp up the circulation, however. 1 Hair loss patient and transplant veteran. Once a Norwood 3A. Senior Member gillenator Posted August 21, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 21, 2018 Heat can improve circulation however it's only momentary. Senior Member wheretogo Posted August 22, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 22, 2018 What about using roller pin, like 0.2 mm daily?
Senior Member Speegs Posted August 22, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) If you have no circulatory issues, aside from protecting your scalp from sun damage for a few months, there isn't much productive you can do in this arena. There are some laser caps that some reputable physicians swear by that may help promote growth, but that's really about it without diving into snake oil products. Eat right, take care of your head and investigate a laser cap from a reputable physician if you really think you want to do more regarding harnessing heat for potential heightened circulation. Senior Member Anonymous Posted August 26, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 26, 2018 Which laser cap is the most helpful ? I've only seen the ones listed on Amazon, Capillus and iRestore. I have no personal experience with Capillus, but I do know the doctor I trusted with my surgeries, Dr. Gabel, has vetted them for use with some of his patients. He never recommended it for me personally, but case by case he has said he finds it helpful for some cases. Edited August 26, 2018 by Speegs Hair loss patient and transplant veteran. Senior Member Sean Posted August 27, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted August 27, 2018 Rogaine aka Minoxidil is probably the best to increase blood flow to scalp but you have to use it daily.
