Regular Member yespls Posted July 23, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted July 23, 2018 So this is ~3 months scar of my FUT, the width of red area is about 5mm. Does it usually get better or worse from 3 months on? (especially the width of scar where hair doesn't grow)
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted July 23, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 23, 2018 It’s hard to tell at 3 months, right now it looks slightly larger, but it is still healing, wait until 12 months to fully evaluate the scar. Senior Member Sean Posted July 24, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2018 I would look at it again in 6 month mark to see if the scar itself has shrunk. Looks larger than usual right now. By 12 month mark, you should have all hairs grown through the scar to limit it’s visibility hopefully. Best of luck.
Senior Member Speegs Posted July 24, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2018 (edited) Now's the time for patience, too early to know what it will look like a year out. Body takes time to heal, and everyone is a little bit different. Edited July 24, 2018 by Speegs Hair loss patient and transplant veteran. Once a Norwood 3A. Senior Member gillenator Posted July 24, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted July 24, 2018 And hopefully the redness will dissipate in the coming months as well.
