Hi, I would like to know if there is a name for this certain point of the hair and if its possible to have a hair transplant to grow this area the same as in this picture? I have attached the picture, thank you!

Hi Endo,

The area you have circled is the temple point and it is common for surgeons to either strengthen/recreate the temple points alongside other scalp implantation or on their own.

Temples.

These points can be constructed by a surgeon but it depends on your degree of hairloss and if its even realistic for your situation. Best would be to do a consult to see if its feasible.

HT#1 - Dr. Rahal (Jan 2012) - 4700 grafts

HT#2 - Dr. Rahal (Jan 2014) - 1800 grafts

HT#3 - Dr. Konior (Jan 2018) - 1200 grafts

Just for the sake of completness:

The temples are often restored in a surgery, but they are much more difficult to reproduce than the hairline. Reason: Difficult angels. FIne hair. Typically slightly different color.

Nice example is here. Great growth and nice natural angles of the hairs but different texture make a very short cut difficult: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/187515-2987grafts-dr-lupanzula.html
