Senior Member Shera Posted April 1, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 1, 2018 Hi, I would like to know if there is a name for this certain point of the hair and if its possible to have a hair transplant to grow this area the same as in this picture? I have attached the picture, thank you! Hi Endo, The area you have circled is the temple point and it is common for surgeons to either strengthen/recreate the temple points alongside other scalp implantation or on their own.
Senior Member razzy Posted April 1, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 1, 2018 Temples. These points can be constructed by a surgeon but it depends on your degree of hairloss and if its even realistic for your situation. Best would be to do a consult to see if its feasible. HT#1 - Dr. Rahal (Jan 2012) - 4700 grafts HT#2 - Dr. Rahal (Jan 2014) - 1800 grafts HT#3 - Dr. Konior (Jan 2018) - 1200 grafts
Senior Member Gasthoerer Posted April 2, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 2, 2018 Just for the sake of completness: The temples are often restored in a surgery, but they are much more difficult to reproduce than the hairline. Reason: Difficult angels. FIne hair. Typically slightly different color. Nice example is here. Great growth and nice natural angles of the hairs but different texture make a very short cut difficult: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/187515-2987grafts-dr-lupanzula.html 400+ grafts in 2018 and 2900 grafts in 2020 via FUE with Feriduni
Senior Member mattj Posted April 2, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 2, 2018 They can be done and will normally require a few hundred grafts per side, depending on how receded they are. Is this the only area from which you have lost hair? I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal.
