Dr. Alan Feller
Sooner or later most physcians in the HT field will take a dose of their own medicine by becoming HT patients themselves. Dr. Scott Alexander of Biltmore Surgical in Arizona had been visiting my office for a few days back in 2003 to share Strip and FUE tips and techniques when he confided in me that he felt his hairline recession and crown loss had gotten to the point where he wanted to do something about it. So we did a procedure on him in 2003, and then another in 2004. His total graft count was 3,000. His results are presented here:
Bill - Seemiller
Dr. Feller, I must admit, it fascinates me to see hair transplant surgeons undergo the knife and to see whom they trust to perform their own procedure. Obviously, Dr. Alexander has a lot of faith in the quality of your work and rightfully so. You certainly didn't let him down :-). Best wishes, Bill
Regular Member alwayswaiting1 Posted October 17, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2009 It is interesting. There was post a couple weeks ago about Dr. Rahal working with Dr. Feller on a fue case. When these top docs work on or with each other I feel like I'm reading the old GI Joe vs the Transformers or Batman vs Superman comics...I know its stupid........ Senior Member the B spot Posted October 17, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 17, 2009 Oh, I agree the work looks great....but Dr. Feller did not do Dr. Alexander any favors in the before photos!!!! He looks seriously pissed!! (I bet he just found out that Dr. Feller was making him buy dinner that night for doing his HT) All in good fun though....this is a great example of excellent work and putting your trust in the proper hands. =) Go Cubs! 6721 transplanted grafts 13,906 hairs Performed by Dr. Ron Shapiro Dr. Ron Shapiro and Dr. Paul Shapiro are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. Senior Member Petchski Posted October 17, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 17, 2009 Never knew Dr Alexander had gotten a H/T, and that's testament enough. And yes, the first pic is funny, looks like he's just been admitted to the funny farm, -------------------------------------- My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Feller Dr Feller Jan '09 2000 grafts Dr Lorenzo Dec '15 2222 grafts

Dr. Alan Feller
I remember taking that first picture. Dr. Alexander was just getting over a cold which is why he looks so under the weather. Thanks for the nice comments. Dr. F
