Regular Member ejojer9 Posted February 9, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted February 9, 2018 I say give it until month 10. If your results are still as shown here, then maybe you're looking at a failed transplant. I do doubt it though. Nader has shown great results. Senior Member Legend007 Posted February 9, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted February 9, 2018 I don’t think the results are bad n it will get better:. But ur density is not there because u r transplanting around 1500 grafts for ur whole midscalp.. usually that’s just enough to just do the hairline n temples dense packed.. if ur results aren’t to ur satisfaction then u can go in for a second round,, I think doctor Nader is conservative in the dense packing because he wants most of ur grafts to survive.. n since he is affordable the second transplant to get more density will really achieve the results u Want n u be satisfied .. he’s a good doctor but ur density u want can’t be achieved with 1500 grafts to zones 1,2, n 3, u need at least 2000-2500 for that .. I was quoted 1200 to the hairline n 200 to the temple points from other doctors In California that charges $8+ a graft .. just to give u an estimation of what to expect .. best wishes to ya .. keep us updated

Regular Member Cid Posted February 13, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted February 13, 2018 I think it's coming in good. Everyone's hair growth cycles are different. Some of mine are extremely thin and others came in completely thick. Nader said by month 10 it should thicken up considerably. I've seen timelines where guys are still seeing growth after 14 months. Are you still taking biotin, fenasteride, and minoxidil?
Senior Member Tbcruz Posted February 13, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 13, 2018 Yea I spoke to Dr Nader and he said it’s till early and I should be satisfied by the time I reach 10 months that it’s still gonna thicken up considerably. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I take vitamins only that have biotin msm and other things to help hair get thicker and stronger. Look a couple pages back and you can see what I take. I uploaded a picture of it. I don’t take fin or min. 1st procedure (8-4-17) - Dr. Luís Nader FUE 1551 grafts. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/49351-1551-grafts-with-luis-nader/?tab=comments#comment-455985 2nd procedure (2-4-20) - Dr. Blake Bloxham FUT 1986 grafts https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/55933-dr-blake-bloxham-fut/?tab=comments#comment-529401
Senior Member Tbcruz Posted March 4, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 4, 2018 Redness is still present sometimes more than other times idk why. But overall not bad. I usually leave the house with my hair combed forward and I have no problem at all. Hopefully when it gets denser I can do a combover and eventually grow my hair out and comb it back. It has deff gotten denser..if this continues month by month I think I will be satisfied. Senior Member Arminius Posted March 11, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 11, 2018 I’m not that thrilled with the results, density is not where I thought it would be at this stage. On another note I do see a lot of fine hair that has to mature and a couple of new hairs poking through. Keep in mind these pictures were takin in harsh over head lighting and with me combing my hair back to expose the areas. I took pictures before showering so my hair was oily, and pictures after I showered (wet). I will also show how my hair is dried after I showered because it does look different than the ones I took before showering. Let me know what you guys think ? Do I still have a shot of some nice thickness still coming ? I see what you are talking about. At five months post-op, my results were three times as dense as this. I would go back and demand a fix. Senior Member aWidowsPeek Posted March 12, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 12, 2018 No, you let it grow in for the full year and see if it improves which it already has started to do. People grow at different speeds. Yeah it sucks when you're a slow grower but that's how it goes sometimes.
Senior Member Legend007 Posted March 12, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 12, 2018 Ur New hair is growing .. it’s lookin not too bad .. but if u expecting it to be denser n thick , u should of gotten more grafts .. 1500 grafts would be a dense packed hairline .. u had 1500 grafts to cover almost ur whole midline .. I think ur results will be satisfactory , but a second surgery with same amount of grafts would make it a lot denser n to ur satsifactory.. I like doctor Nader .. he did good work on u. But more grafts would of been better ..
Senior Member Tbcruz Posted March 13, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2018 Arminius - I think it’s too early for that. Some people get great results in the first 6 months and others takes alittle longer. It’s not like I have a horrible outcome. It’s all there just not as thick as I hoped at this point. But to honest when examined closely I can see a lot of white hairs so I have faith in the next couple of months it will be thicker and if that’s the case I will be thrilled I just want a little more density and redness to go down. widowspeak- yea I agree. I’m going to give it some more time, I am seeing things change. Legend - I think doctor Nader did a good job on me and I think I will be satisfied by 10 months. I am seeing changes in density since 6 months. My hair loss was only temples/hairline. He randomly placed grafts around the whole top but I was not lossing hairs in my mid. Worse case Senario I’ll go for a second to address a couple areas. A lot can change tho let’s see 1st procedure (8-4-17) - Dr. Luís Nader FUE 1551 grafts. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/49351-1551-grafts-with-luis-nader/?tab=comments#comment-455985 2nd procedure (2-4-20) - Dr. Blake Bloxham FUT 1986 grafts https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/55933-dr-blake-bloxham-fut/?tab=comments#comment-529401
Senior Member Legend007 Posted March 13, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2018 Yeah I think u will be satisfied doctor Nader would be my choice surgeon if I ever need to do a second transplant. Right now I already booked with doctor diep to do my hairline n it’s going to cost me $16,000 for 2000 grafts just to the hairline .. costing me an arm n a leg but I just can’t stand my hair like this anymore. So biting the bullet n getting it done

Senior Member Legend007 Posted March 13, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2018 My surgery isn’t until August .. yeah it’s expensive n I would of never thought I be spending this much money.. but I’m about to enter my 40’s .. i want to feel good n confident in my 40s n not worry feel insecure about my hair .. so I think it be money well spent .. I just live n eat cheap for the next year to recuperate some of the money back .. best of luck with ur hair .. it’s coming along well .. keep us updated

Senior Member Legend007 Posted March 13, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2018 It’s $8 a graft for FUE . $4.50 a graft for FUT .. That’s about the average price in California. I was very close to going to Nader instead , cuz I know he does quality work n u can’t beat $2.5 a graft .. But since Diep is only a 2 hour drive from me , n he’s a hairline specialist .. i decided he’s the best option for me ..
Senior Member Legend007 Posted March 13, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2018 It’s $8 for FUe n $4.5 for Fut.. average price around here .. I think he quotes it higher if the surgery is smaller ..or if u had past operations

Senior Member Tbcruz Posted April 5, 2018 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2018 What’s the update Cruz ? Did ur hair get thicker and filled in more ? U happy ? What’s up legend I think it has gotten slightly denser. I make 8 months exactly today. I didn’t have time to update with pictures today but I will tomorrow. I actually noticed today when I was looking at my hair I still have a lot of white fine hairs that are just as long as my hair but aren’t making any cosmetic diff. Yet so I’m guessing I still have to wait for those hairs to thicken up. Once the thinner hairs thicken up I’m sure I’ll be happy . I’m gonna see if I can get a picture of those hairs 2. 1st procedure (8-4-17) - Dr. Luís Nader FUE 1551 grafts. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/49351-1551-grafts-with-luis-nader/?tab=comments#comment-455985 2nd procedure (2-4-20) - Dr. Blake Bloxham FUT 1986 grafts https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/55933-dr-blake-bloxham-fut/?tab=comments#comment-529401
