Regular Member JeffC45 Posted December 19, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted December 19, 2016 I know baseball caps are preferable for the period shortly after a HT. But how many weeks after the HT is it safe to wear a wool/ knit/ ski cap (i.e. a cap that will fit snuggly over the entire head)? I know the grafts are secure at conservatively 2 weeks, so does this mean it's safe to wear a ski cap at this time?
Senior Member voxman Posted December 19, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2016 I would wait until after the shed before wearing any snug hat/cap. Do you want to wear one because of the cold weather? I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Senior Member voxman Posted December 19, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2016 Shed occurs 7 day to 3 weeks average. I am glad you want to wear a cap for the weather. Some guys want to wear one just to look 'hip'. I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Dr. Glenn Charles
I tell my patients that after all the scabbing from the grafts have gone away (day 7-8 ) it is safe to wear wool/ knot/ ski caps.
