Senior Member hsrp10 Posted September 11, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2016 They will give you valium etc. to help you relax, and after the anesthesia starts to work you won't feel much except for some numbness. Ask them to proceed slow, and if possible talk to the techs in advance who will be doing the injections to help you feel comfortable about the procedure. However if you have an extreme fear of needles or have panic attacks etc also might want to talk to a specialist before having the procedure done. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)

Senior Member Janna Posted September 11, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2016 Have you discussed all your concerns and fears with the clinic/doctor yet? It sounds like you need more information on the anesthetic process. It'll be better for the clinic and you if they know about your fears well ahead of your procedure date. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted September 12, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 12, 2016 do you reckon they will sit behind me so i dont make funny facial expressions during procedure. Most likely you will be lying face down (FUT) or on your sides (FUE) and probably they will be in some position above or behind you. If you go to a reputable clinic they will have the experience and care techniques to make you feel at ease. I'm not going to lie to you, the injections are the worst part and you will likely wince or cringe a bit, but as I mentioned above ask them to proceed slow and also think positive like imaging yourself with an amazing head of hair when it's all through. Positive thinking goes a long way. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
Regular Member ismmoh Posted September 12, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 12, 2016 Luckily i havent actually booked, just vaguley stated i wanted it in maybe novemberor now January 14 or 15th best bet i think. Will they take all the money if i back out and am too scarred thinking of doing it in Turkey FUE. Scared of FUE injectioons are big but they dont enter all way io suppose. Are there cases where it went pain free, do they warn you when they are going to inject you, then there are the four 4000 injections of the impalntations of the hair too. I dont which needles is worser teh hair implanter or the injections. please help can this go pain free will they warn me of each injection beforehand. Is it possible to tell them, not to show me the needles especially keep them out of sight. As i have been watching the videos online of how they do it this i hoped helped but has made me cringe worse.

Senior Member mikeyhwk Posted September 14, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 14, 2016 I just had my procedure done and can tell you the injections weren't the part I was looking forward to as well. They're not fun, but the process is rather quick and then you're just chilling out for the rest of it. The hairline ones are a little more stingy while the donor is more just an annoyance. If it makes you feel better the tech who did my anesthetic said nearly every guy who comes in is afraid whether they cop to it afterwards or not, she said most guys have screamed, cursed, teared up and that she's seen it all and said I handled it like a champ and I know I didn't have fun with it so you aren't the first to be afraid, you won't be the last but they all survived it, I survived it and you will too. If we all can do it, you can, we're all made of the same stuff. There is nothing to fear just accept that for a max 5 minutes per location per day, it's gonna suck. Senior Member pkipling Posted September 15, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 15, 2016 Definitely talk to your surgeon about your concerns so that they understand how uneasy the injections make you and how scared you are. They can then proceed with you accordingly and give you some extra TLC so help calm your nerves. The injections were easily the worst part for me - and I say that to a) be truthful and honest with you and b) to hopefully provide you a sense of comfort about the overall procedure. Because while the injections were quite painful, they were also over relatively quickly and the pain subsided within a few moments. Then it's over and the worst is out of the way. Also, you'll be quite loopy at that point anyway, so it will all just seem like a fuzzy dream when it's all said and done. I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA.
