herrhair
I'm booked in with Dr. Wu tomorrow morning for a procedure to restore my hairline. During the consultation (approx one month ago) his assessment was that I'd need around 1500 grafts or so. I've got a lot of great info from this site and found the before/after photos very useful, so thought I'd give back by documenting my transplant from the beginning. This is also the place I found out about Dr. Wu (who is a recommended surgeon on this site). I've attached few pre-transplant pics.

herrhair
Ha. Yep, really 42. But as you can see from my shaved post-procedure pics, perhaps somewhat grayer than I'd led you to believe. These pics are taken today, the day after the transplant. Just under 1000 grafts. No pain and just a small amount of swelling. Happy with the restoration at this stage, and very happy with Dr. Wu and his great team. Really good experience throughout. Went back to see Dr. Wu today for a hair wash. He also likes to check if there are any areas where density can be improved once the swelling subsides. I'm headed in tomorrow for a final check and perhaps an additional 100 grafts or so to touch up some areas.
Regular Member SupaGroover Posted July 5, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2016 Same situation as me more or less pre-op. Now the tough part begins, but around 4 months, it all gets good.
herrhair
1 week after the transplant. Not really any itching. Donor area is a little tender still, but a lot of the redness is gone. Recipient area feels good. Have been washing my hair morning and night.
