Senior Member California Posted January 25, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2016 The last time I had an FUE, it was only 500 single follicle unit on the left side of my head, and I it took between 5-6 hours to complete. Hi Fantasticpow, Should be totally doable. We at Darling Buds India (Dr. Bhatti) perform around 3000 grafts FUE procedures/day on a routine basis. I encourage you to do a search on this Forum and you will find scores of "mega" FUE cases posted by our Patients. There are many other recommended HT Surgeons on the Forum that do mega sessions (FUE). A past member of this Forum, BUSA used to say......The search button is your friend:) We wish you all the best. Senior Member harin Posted January 25, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2016 2000 to 3000 is the usual standard when it comes to number of grafts extracted and implanted in a day. My Thread:
Regular Member fantasticpow Posted January 25, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 25, 2016 Yes but I was referring to the number of singular unit implanted in a day. If a doctor implant around that much he would have to implant between 2-3 unit per grafts. 2000 to 3000 is the usual standard when it comes to number of grafts extracted and implanted in a day. Senior Member JohnCasper Posted January 28, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2016 I've had two FUE surgeries and most recently had 2,000 grafts taken out by 11am and implanted and out of the office by 3pm. 3,000 in one day is a very long day for the patient and the doctor. Regular Member fantasticpow Posted January 29, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 29, 2016 My question is based on singular follicular unit hair implant, meaning each hair implant is one strand of hair, not 2 or 3. A gaft of hair, means it is 2 or more hair strand per implant.
Senior Member MrGio-WHTCClinic Posted February 1, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 1, 2016 1500 should be the maximum number of grafts done in an 8-hour day. This is a limitation with FUE. 1600 FUE can be done in a day, but you want to be in the care of a highly experienced FUE surgeon. My opinions are my own.
