  1. I notice that most people gives the Doctor too much credit for the result of their transplant when it is their assistant that completes the implantation. As I have been to few transplant clinic, the doctor pretty much plans how many units and where, and some would stay around remove the follicular unit, but when it comes to implanting those units and arranging them to make you look your best, their assistants are skilled for that.
  2. Thank you, I'm glad I made this post, I wasn't aware of how their Visa works. Now I know where to apply for it, and hopefully retrieve it before my flight.
  3. Have you already paid a deposit for this procedure? No I haven't payed any deposit, which I know I should, but they didn't request, because I'm assuming they need to complete the consultation at their clinic to determine if I'm qualify or have the payment be done in full. But since I have had previous FUT and FUE, I know I am qualify for the session. Have you researched into the Dr/clinic? Yes I have research, I have checked their website, and I have read some other member's previous experience with the Dr and clinic. Have you viewed past results and possibly spoken/emailed past patients for their views? Again, I apply for their online consultation, and sent them my pictures as requested and told them I had prior experience with hair transplant, I even made a professional HD video for them to view, though not sure if they even view them. They sent me an email that the pictures weren't enough to determine if I qualify, and that I need a personal consultation at the clinic. Are you actually aware what procedure you are having done and the associated costs? yes I have done my calculation, but I'm not sure about everything, as the price may change. Are you aware that you will need a visa to travel to India? I have traveled to other Asian country, and usually I apply for the visa at the airport. Unless India is different and need to request a Visa from the USA. Has the hotel etc been booked and are you aware of the costs? I think in the first instance you really need to come up with a list of questions and ask the clinic rep to clarify these in writing. It could simply be just because you have not asked, the clinic have just have assumed you know the answers. Also you might want to demand that the clinic at least send a driver to the airport to pick you up, worryingly you do come across as someone who could possibly be taken advantage off by a dodgy taxi driver after a long flight My concern as well, I'm sure the clinic have had several clients from other countries and is aware of this, I assume they would prepare me with information concerning these things.
  4. I recently booked an appointment from California to India. I've only sent my pictures as an online consultation. I've never received any comments opinion about my hair, or discussion about the transplant. I never got to speak with any doctor about my session. I only manage to speak with the clinic representative on the phone. She tells me too book my flight and tell her the date of my arrival. I book a flight on March, and called her back to tell her so she can set my appointment. So I'm having my personal consultation on Friday and the transplant on Saturday. I've had hair transplant before here in California, and they would provide detail information, what I want, how much it will cost, prepayment and what I have to do to prepare. When I have a session in California, I would be instructed to purchase pills and take them few days before the appointed date. But booking this appointment in India, I wasn't given much of anything, but an email telling me I am schedule on those day, and I can call for a taxi to the hotel. I just recently schedule, hopefully later on, they would provide more information, and not expect me to show up on the day unprepared.
  5. My question is based on singular follicular unit hair implant, meaning each hair implant is one strand of hair, not 2 or 3. A gaft of hair, means it is 2 or more hair strand per implant.
  6. Yes but I was referring to the number of singular unit implanted in a day. If a doctor implant around that much he would have to implant between 2-3 unit per grafts.
  7. The last time I had an FUE, it was only 500 single follicle unit on the left side of my head, and I it took between 5-6 hours to complete.
  8. No just that spot, first year it was an even smaller spot, but I wanted the doctor to fix it, but after cutting extra skin and sewing it together, it just seems to make it worst. Dr. that did me was Meshkin.
  9. Yes I did suggested that to the doctor, but he tells me that the hair will fall off.
  10. I had a hair transplant of 2012, after a year recovery, it left a large skin spot that didn't fully heal right, the hair didn't grow in that donor area. It was 1/4 the size of what you see on this picture. So I went to the doctor for another hair transplant and explain to him about the large skin spot, and he offered to fix it. He sliced it up and sewed the edged together to close the left over skin, but by end of 2013, the scar was healed up, and now I have an even wider skin problem(see picture). I'm not sure how this problem would be fix, because I am refusing to have my skin cut and sewed again.
  11. Hi, I just like to update my answer concerning the problem of my question 2 years ago. It turns out the whole part of that graft never grew back. I'm sure many people have this issue where a clump comes out.
  12. This is the 5th time I've had this problem, where the gaft area have some kind of problem where it just wants to come out of the skin, kind of like a wine cork bottle but with hair in the center, it isn't a result of a pimple, but I don't know what it is, each day it kind of comes out on its own, so then I decided to just pull it out cause it was irritating to see. After pulling it out, it comes in bulgy skin layers thick and within it is 3 pieces of hair, the result was that it left a big whole in my head. My concern is did I completely lose the whole FU hair, will it grow back? Please see pictures attached for detail. Thanks
  13. I'm in my 40th day after hair transplant. I read in the forum that I'm not suppose to pop the pimple on the gaft area, but it was irritating me and so I popped, the area bleed out a short second and stop, and also squeezing it too hard, the hair that was growing falls out, it did not show any roots or FU, just the stem, like it was shaved off. Will I be okay? will the hair that falls out grow back?
