Anaesthetic from a HT can cause hair loss?

Can anyone please shed light on information I have received that anaesthetic from a HT procedure can cause accelerated hair loss and/or shock loss?

I have heard this from several sources now. Is it a case of too much anaesthetic being used by Dr's?

Thanks in advance.

Too much anaesthetic can cause much worse than hair loss. It can cause necrosis!

Haven't heard that localised anaesthesia can cause permanent loss.

General anaesthesia can cause temporary hair loss 3 months post op because in the state of suspension the body is shut down and the follicles are cut off the nutrients. Like shock loss it regrows.

I agree. There may be a few minor cases of temporary shock loss but never heard of permanent loss from local anesthesia.
