Hi,

I was wondering if you decided to go with HairPalace in the end?

I'm also considering them, but it's hard to make a decision when there aren't almost any reviews of that clinic online...

Fact that there aren't almost any reviews of that clinic online should make your decision an easy slam dunk ......

My advice is to go with a renowned surgeon.

Thanks for the quick reply. There are probably at least several hundred clinics worldwide conducting hair transplants on a daily basis.

However, only a few dozen are featured prominently online, which "smells" more of marketing than of medicine. Of the leading clinics mentioned on this site, I've only been impressed with two or three at most.

Is an FUE procedure really so difficult, that a doctor must be world-renowned to perform it properly?

Yes I agree with you that there are thousands and thousands of diff HT practices producing killer results. However, there are also thousands and thousands of clinics producing less than satisfactory results, as well as many butchering patients heads. If I am going to entrust my head and a limited lifetime donor supply of grafts to a stranger, i damn well want to ensure that it is almost guaranteed that I will get a stellar result. No way in hell I am going to risk something like this. I went with a recommended coalition HT surgeon for my 1st procedure who definitely isn't one of the top of the top, and my result was okay. I regret not having gone with one of the top 5, and will be correcting that mistake when I go for my second procedure with one of the best.

If you want to go with an unknown, by all means go for it, but ask yourself ... Do I feel lucky punk...

Do it from anywhere...Choosing the right doctor is the key.

There are recommended surgeons on this site for both India and Turkey.

For example: Dr. Bhatti/Darling Buds is recommended here and very well known for exemplary FUE work.

Well, having had a long conversation who had used Hair Palace in Buddapest and highly recommended it I took the plunge and returned yesterday. I thought the whole thing from the taxi meeting me at the airport dropping me off at the airport and the important medical procedures in-between were professional, carried out is very good surgical surroundings. It was within a large office complex with views across to Budda. On one side of hair extraction I had a view of the River Danube. Lunch was served in a separate area and there was a chose of three menus. I didn't have food on my mind at all at 8.45am and I was very nervous, By such time I enjoyed my Italian meal option with my partner who accompanied me.

I was allocated Dr Ljuba Zsolnai, a gentle, quiet, calm and calming practitioner. I work in clinical settings myself so I have some experience although not in HT. She spoke good english, but there was always a translator on hand too, I slept for about 50% of the procedure which took place over two days. The only painful part was at the start of the local anaesthetics but no worse than going to the dentist.

Today is the second day after the transplant and my head is a bit itchy but as my head was always itchy I am not freaking out. I find the saline spray that I was sent home with is quite cooling and an antihistamine pill helps. I am anxious of damaging the grafts as I was told to sleep on my back. I find I do turn a bit in my sleep, But my family tell me it looks fine and is healing ok.

If my head begin to resemble something from the Hammer house of Horrors be sure I will let you know but I am trusting in a successful outcome. 6000 hair transplant. FUP

Hi

Has any one gone to Hungary for HT and survived to tell the tell? I am looking at Hair Palace. Would really appreciate some feedback.

Steve

Help Please

I had the FUE at Hair Palace in Budapest two weeks ago. I've had ongoing soreness, needle like pain and itchiness in my sonar area. As advised by the doc in Hungery I went to se doctor in the UK who prescribed hydrocortisone 1% which improved it a bit.

It's got so bad now that my head aches. A friend tells me that everything seems to be healing but he noticed one or two clumps of I growing hairs in the doner area. My GP knows as much about hair transplants as I do.

This is one of the problems of having work done overseas. Can anyone advise. I felt quite unwell with it today. Cannot lie down because it is so sore.

Thanks guys

I did indeed go to the Hair Palace in Hungary. I found them very professional. I had some post of problems with serious itching which did require treatment which my NHS GP provided. One thing that the Hair Palace should do it draw up a list of specialist doctors in the UK that you can seek help from if need by. The fact is that very few GP's have any experience of Hair Transplants. If you can afford a transplant yu can certainly afford a one off consultation with a private doctor in the UK who has specialist knowldge.

The Hair Palace has followed up as promised via emails and me returning photos. At the height of the itchiness and inflamation I requested an appointment in London with their visiting Doctor. It went well and I was not charged any extra for the consultation.

Would I do it again? Yes.

Its only six months later. I am quote amazed. I have a decent head of hair already!

Hi Steve, just wondering what research you did for Hair Palace and would you recommend it ? Are there any other people you found who have been here ?

I was considering Turkey but its not worth the risk at present.

Thanks

Hi,

I am also thinking about having FUE done at Hair Palace and have been in contact with them.

If anyone has any information at all on Hair Palace I would gladly appreciate it.

Why would you go to a clinic hardly anyone has reviewed, when you could go to Turkey where there are lots of reviews, and probably cheaper as well?

In my research I have not found Turkey as cheap as Hungary for FUE.

If Turkey is indeed lower in price then I would definitely consider Turkey for FUE.

Please give me some links or names for low price FUE clinics in Turkey as I cannot find any.

I can't believe this is a serious question. There are lots of cheap clinics in Istanbul giving great results. Why not look at whatclinic or realself for reviews?
