Well, having had a long conversation who had used Hair Palace in Buddapest and highly recommended it I took the plunge and returned yesterday. I thought the whole thing from the taxi meeting me at the airport dropping me off at the airport and the important medical procedures in-between were professional, carried out is very good surgical surroundings. It was within a large office complex with views across to Budda. On one side of hair extraction I had a view of the River Danube. Lunch was served in a separate area and there was a chose of three menus. I didn't have food on my mind at all at 8.45am and I was very nervous, By such time I enjoyed my Italian meal option with my partner who accompanied me.
I was allocated Dr Ljuba Zsolnai, a gentle, quiet, calm and calming practitioner. I work in clinical settings myself so I have some experience although not in HT. She spoke good english, but there was always a translator on hand too, I slept for about 50% of the procedure which took place over two days. The only painful part was at the start of the local anaesthetics but no worse than going to the dentist.
Today is the second day after the transplant and my head is a bit itchy but as my head was always itchy I am not freaking out. I find the saline spray that I was sent home with is quite cooling and an antihistamine pill helps. I am anxious of damaging the grafts as I was told to sleep on my back. I find I do turn a bit in my sleep, But my family tell me it looks fine and is healing ok.
If my head begin to resemble something from the Hammer house of Horrors be sure I will let you know but I am trusting in a successful outcome. 6000 hair transplant. FUP
