  1. How has balding affected your relatives? Would you be able to guess what your hair would look like in 10 years? Also, have you tried buzz-cutting it? I always found when my hair was really short was that I didn't think about it anymore. Another thing and more holistically, some people have had improvement with scalp massage and an anti-inflammatory diet. It might help you keep your hair. It's certainly improved my diffuse hair loss and made me healthier. I'm only here because I still get emails from the forum. If you go for the HT, like the others have said go for a conservative hairline and I think you'd be fine. Best regards.
  2. Resurrecting this thread. Has anyone seen Bilic and his new head of hair recently?
  3. Nobody is guaranteed. There are lots of good clinics in Turkey and you only need to do your research and go to one of them. This site always seems to be about 10 years out of date.
  4. I can't believe this is a serious question. There are lots of cheap clinics in Istanbul giving great results. Why not look at whatclinic or realself for reviews?
  5. Hi Aditya, have you put a review on realself by any chance? I'm considering a HT from Dr Cinik. From what I've read, your progress is entirely consistent with what I would expect. The crown seems to take longer with almost everyone.
  6. Why would you go to a clinic hardly anyone has reviewed, when you could go to Turkey where there are lots of reviews, and probably cheaper as well?
  7. I've read a lot of good reviews about Dr Cinik as well. For me, it's between Cinik and Transest.
  8. Anyone saying "I would avoid Turkey like the plague" is seriously out of date, like a lot of this forum. People are getting great results. There are some good clinics if you do your research. I think there are possibly a lot of annoyed people who stayed in their own country and paid a 5-figure sum when they could have gone to Turkey and got it done equally well, if not better for a fraction of the cost.
  9. As we're on the subject of hair and football. Germany v Ukraine has just finished and Schweinsteiger got a late goal to make it 2-0. He has a bit of grey at the sides and his hair longer than usual and course the commentator had to say "the old man of team... the wily old fox".. He's only 31 for goodness' sake!
  10. Yeah, I know what you mean. I agree, hair loss is genetic but I have to say I have diffuse hair loss and would look almost bald the day after a night out drinking. Maybe it's a different mechanism but it wasn't the hair at the side or the back falling out. My take on it, is that hair loss is an inflammatory condition and smoking, alcohol just speed it up (for some people, not all. I guess that's the hereditary part). Infuriating how someone can eat or drink what they want and still have a great head of hair.
  11. Tottenham fan? Smoking and/or a bad diet will definitely make hair look thinner. I know from personal experience.
  12. I heard that Ferguson had trouble keeping him off the fast food. Also, it's known that he smokes (or at least smoked) cigarettes.
  13. I'm sure Jordan Henderson of Liverpool had some crown work done. He mysteriously doesn't seem to be thinning there now. I saw Theo Walcott of Arsenal being interviewed. He had a very short haircut and I could see what I thought were FUE dots. What really gave Bilic away was having his longer at the sides. It looked a little pink/purple on top but the sides were way too long. It made me think he'd had FUT. I see it's been cut shorter today. He doesn't seem to care but obviously cares enough to get it done. Rooney's going to need a 3rd HT. His hairline is fine but he's gone diffuse on top again. His terrible diet doesn't help. Our American friends must be wondering "who are these people?"
  14. Hi Betterlate. It's good to read your update. Yes, I have 'Psychocybernetics' already. I love the idea of it. I was just wondering if it had helped you and it clearly had from what you wrote. Thanks for letting us know how it's gone and for answering each one individually.
  15. The hair's growing well and at only 8 months still quite a lot to come through. How long did it take before the redness went and did anyone know you'd had a HT when you went back to work?
  16. Have you contacted any of the other Turkish surgeons? I'd be interested in knowing if they required you to attend a consultation as well.
  17. Well done, Lucky6. You've had a great result though I thought I'd ask why you doubted you could get this op done at 45, as you indicated in a previous message? 45 isn't old! I'm almost 45 and I feel great. Lots of people much older than you or I get this op done. Ageing's in one's on head not on it!
  18. Looks fantastic. How do you think it would look if you had your hair cut shorter on the top? Would it still look thick? The reason I ask is I'm thinking of having some work done but like having my hair short. Thanks!
  19. It's looking good. I can't see any redness. I hope it's healing well. How about an update? Thanks.
  20. Hi Betterlate. I hope the hair continues to grow thicker and thicker. I just wanted to ask about the book. I like the idea of changing the self-image. Did this one really work for that? I read it many years ago and didn't give it the attention it may deserve in terms of the exercises. Thanks!
  21. Thanks and your English is fine. All the best with the recovery!
  22. This is the first FUE I've seen from Dr Saifi. You said "in general" twice. Was there something you were less than happy with as he's meant to be one of the best?
  23. And not forgetting the current vice president's bad hair transplant.
  24. I really don't think women care that much if we have hair or not. As long we're not hung up about it. They don't want to date anyone with more hang-ups than they have. Having said all that, I suppose it's about perception... Here in the UK, we've never had many bald prime ministers. Only Churchill and Atlee come to mind. I can't think of one US president who was. I'm thinking of getting a HT because I like how I look with thicker hair. I wish I'd appreciated it more when I was young and let it grow a bit more! For me it's not about attracting more women, though I wouldn't complain.
