Regular Member Dan5249 Posted February 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted February 15, 2015 Hey guys, I am 6 days after transplant and began to shampoo my head a bit rougher to get out the scabbing. I have noticed a lot of white follicles come out (not with hairs, just white follicles) Is this normal?
Senior Member splitting hairs Posted February 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted February 15, 2015 What I think you are referring to are the scabs. This is normal. You might want to check with your clinic but I'm sure it's fine. _________________________________________________ Propecia since July 2008 2201 Grafts with Dr Lorenzo on 19.10.22 - See my write up here:
Senior Member Swooping Posted February 16, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted February 16, 2015 Was there blood with it? If not you should be okay. However, please understand that all grafts may not be fully secure yet till day 9 (Dr. Rasman & Dr. Bernstein study) I personally would be pretty cautious for at least 10 days to be on the safe side with your grafts. Always a good thing to correspond with your clinic about this. You are probably fine though, don't worry! Proud to be a representative of world elite hair transplant surgeon Dr. Bisanga - BHR Clinic. Senior Member gillenator Posted February 17, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted February 17, 2015 Dan, No doubt what you are seeing are the crusts which are the dead and dried out tissue from the tips of the implanted grafts.
