Senior Member Jotronic Posted May 30, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 30, 2014 This local client had been doing his research into SMP for several months and came into the office for multiple meetings. We discussed at length the pros and cons of permanent vs. temporary SMP, hairline design, etc. He finally came in about six weeks ago to have the first of two passes performed. He returned one week later to have a second pass for added density per our original plan thus the result shown is five weeks after the last pass. Senior Member Spanker Posted June 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 As a local pt, it would be great to see this guy at 6 months, 1 year, 24 months, and so on, until he decides to have a touch up. There has been no good proof of efficacy in smp (how long it will look good) shown to the forum by any clinic that I have seen. It looks good now, but I would love to see a longer term case on it by a respected HT clinic. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 very nice work Joe, looks quite subtle and natural as this is temporary, it is expected to last max of two years? and after that what are the fees like? any short-term guarantees against early fading? also what are the post-procedure instructions btw? especially regarding showering, shampooing and sweating? go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)

I have an HD video that needs to be processed as well to show a more realistic representation of the result. Thanks, hsrp10. I designed the hairline myself:) There are no guarantees for this with regards to how long it lasts. If it fades too much inside of two months then we'll redo it at no charge but anything after that is taken on a case by case basis. We've seen a few cases where the result faded a bit more than we liked in the first several weeks but then once we did another pass then it lasted much longer. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 5, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks Joe, I know SMP fades due to sunlight and UV exposure, do you guys advise your patients to avoid head/hair washing and sweating in the early days? Some (permanent) SMP companies are quite strict about water on the scalp, shampooing and sweating initially, so was wondering if it was the same with NuYuInk go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
